Plan To Add Border Tolls To Flee Massachusetts Sparks Outrage

Massachusetts has done it again.

Who do elected Democrats respect the most?

It is not the taxpayers! Over the past year, Taxachusetts taxpayers have funded over $1 billion to house illegal immigrants. Just this week, the legislature and Governor Maura Healey passed another $400 million for the illegals. They did this at a time when state revenues are declining. Instead of tightening the state’s spending belt, they are pouring in more money for illegals.  

Of course, tax increases are on the way to pay for the illegals. Last week the Healey administration floated the idea of border tolls. No, these are not tolls at the southern border. These are tolls on residents going to and from New Hampshire. Why New Hampshire and not Rhode Island? Many Commonwealth residents shop in New Hampshire to avoid our sales tax, so our governor figured they should be punished for driving to New Hampshire. Her team did not suggest tolls on roads to Rhode Island, because no one is shopping there. Healey tried to walk back the suggestion of the new tolling, but no one is buying it seeing as she just created a Transportation Funding Task Force looking for new ways to raid our wallets.

But, the news from Massachusetts gets even worse.

Now our illegal immigration problem could be easily solved by amending the state’s right to shelter law that guarantees housing for homeless people. If the law was amended to say our legal residents only can access the taxpayer funded benefit, then there would be no more housing for the illegals. The Democrats refuse to amend the law. On Friday, they even refused to amend the law by putting homeless veterans ahead of the line. That’s right; they don’t want to give preferential treatment to our homeless veterans over the illegals.

How low is that? The Democrats want to help illegals over veterans.

Now, their spin is that it would be unconstitutional to put veterans first in line. Can anyone find in our Constitution where it says give illegals, those who broke the law to be here, taxpayer-funded benefits?  It doesn’t!

No Massachusetts Democrat should be welcome at a Memorial Day event! They have proven who their priority is. It is the illegals all the way.
