The superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy found himself at a loss during a recent exchange with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).
Gaetz got Lt. Gen. Richard Clark to admit he doesn’t know what demigender – and other gender identity labels – mean at a hearing on gender influencing admissions at service academies.
The exchange turned surreal when Gaetz probed Clark on his knowledge of nonbinary terminology. It began with Gaetz asking the general about the Brooke Owens Fellowship, promoted by the academy, which excludes cisgender straight men. (RELATED: Pentagon-GOP ‘Woke Wars’ Heating Up)

Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark was unable to define gender identity terms like “agender” and “demigender” that were listed in eligibility guidelines for a fellowship that’s open to Air Force cadets and other Americans, something Gaetz noted during their heated exchange.
“You’re literally pushing a program in the academies that says, ‘If you’re a cisgender woman, a transgender woman, a non-binary, agender, bigender, two-spirit, demigender…’ What’s ‘demigender’?” Gaetz asked.
“Sir, that’s a term of the people that are eligible for that particular scholarship, that is available to,” Clarke said.
“I’m not really sure, sir,” Clark begrudgingly admitted when Gaetz asked if he knew what “demigender really means.”
“Right. So, here we are, pushing a fellowship calling for people that you don’t even know what the words mean,” he replied before continuing, “And the number one group of people, the cisgender men, are excluded. To see what the left wing liberals have done to our military is nothing less than treason. As a vet of 26 years of military service what I see is troubling because it appears that we are in no position to defend our country. obama removed all our true military leaders and put politicians in their place just so he could better control them.It’s probably a good thing that there are millions of armed “civilians” in this country that would be willing and able to defend this country when needed. That may be the only thing that would keep this nation free and independent from a foreign country.
Not even very many years ago, I would never even have dreamed of that possibility in the United States of America. I thought a strong country whose allies could count on to help keep them free would be a source of pride for any sane person – but either that’s no longer true or the crazies are in charge!

That is a perfect example of the sort of intellect we are dealing with at the highest levels of authority in this country right now. I’d say there may be zero Elder Statesman/woman material anywhere in leadership and no one even with enough common sense to enlist one to help get us out of this morass if one does exist! I guess that is a case where the old adage applies – “being ignorant of one’s own ignorance”! I’m beginning to feel hopeless.
