Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration reinstating enforcement of regulations over so-called “ghost guns” in a 5-4 ruling.

The justices agreed to temporarily pause a lower court’s ruling which invalidated the regulation nationwide, as the Administration continues its appeal according to Fox News.

The decision hands a victory to Biden, at least for now. (RELATED: Colorado Considering ‘Ghost Gun’ Ban)

Last year Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced more restrictions on ghost guns, referring to firearms that are sold as do-it-yourself kits.

The case will now proceed in a lower appeals court, which is slated to hear oral arguments next month. The matter could ultimately return to the Supreme Court.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the court’s three liberals in temporarily reviving the restrictions. Conservative Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel AlitoNeil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.

This is somewhat confusing and concerning for the “conservative” judges to vote for restrictions of “ghost guns.” The only reason I can think of is to reserve the capability for firearm registration. I can imagine the issue of persons that should not have firearms, but outlawing ghost guns will not prevent anyone that wants a firearm of acquiring one. Meanwhile, it penalizes law abiding citizens (a much larger subset of the citizenry than the criminal subset) from participating in firearm hobbies or such other related activities. Disarming law abiding citizens does harm to personal and national security, for which government capabilities, however great, are limited, especially for personal protection. In many ways the progressive government is already out of control, and in other ways on the verge of being so. Let’s pray this ship rights itself sooner than later. God Bless America.

Personally, I’m kinda’ glad that the Democoms (i.e., Democrat-Communists) are trying their damnest to make criminals out of decent, honest, law-abiding American Citizens.

Let it happen. Because in the Democom world, criminals are free to run rampant and do whatever they want to do, with little-to-no consequences.

Beating Democoms senseless with their own stoopidity. Poetic justice at its finest, I’d say.

This is just one of many BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) dreams. But rarely does it justify them with a convincing reason. Seems reasonable to ask what’s in it for the public they serve. The answer of course is intimidation of the 160 million peaceable, lawful firearms owners.

This organization is so obviously redundant, it constantly faces dissolution. Here’s why. Before 1934, BATFE was a bureau under the Internal Revenue Service wholly engaged in the enforcement of prohibition. After being repealed, it bounced around as the Bureau of Prohibition, the Alcohol Tax Unit, and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division.

Johnson’s Great Society of 1968 added firearms and it became the IRS Division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The ATF was intended to stop interstate firearms transfers except among licensed manufacturers, dealers and importers. The primary objective was to ensure timely collection of taxes.

In 1970, Nixon added explosives and in 1972, when the IRS jettisoned the ATF Division, he created the Bureau of ATF. It became the BATFE when the residents of the trade towers were slaughtered by commercial aircraft. During all that bureaucratic maneuvering, the FBI bombastically rejected the function for too many reasons to list here.

I believe the BATFE should be broken up with alcohol and tobacco oversight moved to the states. Due to overlap and expertise, the FBI now supervises major incidents of arms and explosives abuse. Seems the BATFE is extraneous to the process and redundant. What the BATFE has become is another unexpected consequence of overlapping laws.

Regarding serialization of ghost parts, how would an agent track a firearm from the manufacturer to the purchaser with dozens of parts, all with different serial numbers? I could go on. Bottom line for most private owners is, stung too many times, they now don’t trust the government and oppose any tinkering, however slight, with the 2nd Amendment.
