Ohio Republican JD Vance responded to Sen. Mitt Romney‘s (Utah) recent barrage of attacks from an upcoming book excerpt.
During a recent interview, Romney claimed Vance transformed into a MAGA follower “overnight” as a way to fuel his Senate campaign and appeal to voters.
“I don’t know that I can disrespect someone more than J.D. Vance,” Romney said to McKay Coppins during Vance’s 2022 Senate campaign, according to the Atlantic.
“How can you go over a line so stark as that — and for what?” he added. “It’s not like you’re going to be famous and powerful because you became a United States senator. It’s like, really? You sell yourself so cheap?”
On Thursday, Vance brushed away Romney’s criticism, telling Politico journalist Daniella Diaz, “If he has a problem with me, I kind of wish he just acted like a man and spoke to me directly.”
The Ohio Senator also addressed Romney’s insults during an interview with Breitbart, noting the outgoing Senator’s constant flip-flopping on issues throughout his career.
“Mitt Romney is one to talk about changing his mind publicly. He’s been on every side of 35 different issues,” Vance told Breitbart. “My job is to work for the people of Ohio, not get involved in petty personal disputes. I’ve been focused on that and will continue to do so in the future.”
On Wednesday, Sen. Romney announced he plans to retire from the Senate after this term.
JD is a great American Patriot. Romney is a pansy Uniparty loser. I can’t believe Utah would vote this guy into office. He’s been part of the resistance of restoring the America First agenda. So great to hear he’s jumping ship.
Romney is the last to criticize other Republicans. Romney went begging for Trumps endorsement to run for the Senate and then basically has been stabbing him in the back since. Romney is basically a borderline RINO and knows his constituents no longer support him. That’s why he’s not running again.
Borderline? When I open the dictionary to look up RINO, there’s Mittens, Murkowski and both Cheneys as examples.
The good people of Utah were warned about him in the beginning. “But, he did so well with the ’02 Olympicss and he did put up a good campaign in ’12.”
Yeah, he did well until he whupped Obama’s butt in the 1st debate then, his NWO handlers told him to back off. He folded like a Costco mailer…
It’s gonna be tough for the democrats to find a replacement for Romney

I agree with everything you said, except the borderline RINO part.This guy is Full on RINO. He should have a couple horns growing out of his face where his nose is. Personally, I hope we have seen the last of this idiot. Since I won’t watch the Communist News Network, I’m pretty sure I have at the very least. Would not be surprised to hear that’s where he lands when his term, thank god, is over.

Romney has been nothing but a loser for his whole political career. He lost a presidential election that he should have won. How the good people ever elected him is a mystery, and they have since realized he is just another loser that sides with the left wingers more than the republicans.
It must have felt good for Romney to finally have a cheering audience after announcing his retirement.

Being disrespected by Mitt Romney is like being disrespected by Joe Biden. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it! Romney caved during the debate with 0bama when Candy Crowley pushed. Romney is not exactly a hard core Republican; RINO at best. And now we know just how slimy he & Ryan really were. Purging them both is a plus!
