Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

MONDAY PDB – Republican field blames Biden for dealing with Iran after Hamas terror attack. Hamas’ surprise early morning terror attack Saturday marks a new foreign policy front in a presidential election. JOE BIDEN IS GUILTY AS CHARGED – HIS $6 BILLION PAYOFF TO IRAN WAS HORRENDOUS AND ENABLING.

Biden has been desperately trying to kowtow to Iran’s terror regime to get them to reengage on the worthless Obama 2015 nuclear weapons deal canceled by Trump. This may be partly due to the fact, as I wrote earlier, that Iran appears to have infiltrated both the Obama and Biden White House.

Biden’s weak behavior is in stark contrast to President Trump who exerted maximum pressure on Iran and took out its top terror leader in an unprecedented precision drone strike.

MEANWHILE – BIDEN’S POLITICAL THEATER – US military to move a carrier strike group in support of Israel. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says he’s ordered the Ford carrier strike group to sail to the Eastern Mediterranean to be ready to assist Israel.

EVERYONE SEES THIS AS AN EMPTY SHOW OF FORCE.

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here’s a roundup of today’s other top defense stories from conservative national security expert PAUL CRESPO.

Not the President’s Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL’S DAILY BRIEFING – the PDB:

ATTACK ON ISRAEL

Hamas terror attack is an intelligence failure that may take Israel years to unravel. The vicious Hamas terrorist assault on Saturday truly was Israel’s 9/11 — not simply in the anguished demand for revenge that has followed the attack but also in the strange blindness that preceded it.

How Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system disables some Hamas rockets. The sound of air raid sirens reverberated through southern Israel again on Sunday, a day after an unprecedented attack took Israeli security forces by surprise.

HOMELAND SECURITY

Former soldier charged with trying to give classified info to China. The former Army trooper attempted to provide classified information to China’s security services.

POLITICS

I WILL STICK TO CELEBRATING COLUMBUS DAY – What is Indigenous Peoples Day? Is it a federal holiday? From Alcatraz Island to a park in New York City, Native American people will celebrate their centuries-long history on Monday with ceremonies, dances, and speeches.

PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE MOCK RITUALS OF MASS HUMAN SACRIFICE IN THE FESTIVITIES.

PENTAGON WOKE WATCH

BROWN IS MORE OPENLY WOKE THAN MILLEY – Moving on from Milley: CQ Brown brings ‘buttoned down’ persona to Joint Chiefs. Army Gen. Mark Milley formally handed the highest-ranking military title over to Air Force Gen. CQ Brown last week, leaving daunting challenges for a commander with a very different personality.

END THE SOCIALIST DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) INDOCTRINATION – Congress considers ‘very severe rollback’ of the military’s DEI programs. Dozens of leftist ‘human rights’ and ‘veterans’ organizations urged Congress to strike 22 anti-DEI proposals from the 2024 defense appropriations bill. JUST LET IT DIE.

END DISCRIMINATORY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION – Naval Academy sued over affirmative action admissions policy. Critics of affirmative action filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing the academy of discrimination for using race as a factor in its admissions decisions.

BIDEN PENTAGON MUST BEND – NO TAXPAYER FUNDED ABORTION TRAVEL – Tuberville won’t bend on military blockade amid Israel crisis. Sen. Tommy Tuberville is not relenting from his monthslong blockade of military nominations over the Biden administration’s abortion policy — even as Israeli ally goes to war.

NATIONAL SECURITY

US Army spending $1.5B on 155mm rounds to feed Ukrainian artillery. But the announcement also clouds the service’s production aspirations for the next two years.

Some in Congress want to cut Ukraine aid and boost Taiwan’s. But Taiwan sees its fate tied to Kyiv’s. To Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), China is a bigger threat to the U.S than Russia. So, he has voted against military aid to Ukraine instead pushing to do more to arm Taiwan against a Beijing attack.

CHINA THREAT

Marines double down on ties to Philippines with new deployment. Positioning Marines forward in the Indo-Pacific is part of the Corps’ plan for countering a potential adversary as technologically adept as China.

RUSSIA THREAT– UKRAINE WAR

Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 592. Russia’s defense ministry said it shot down two Ukrainian S-200 anti-aircraft missiles “converted to an attack version” over the Moscow-annexed Crimean Peninsula.

AS I WROTE ABOUT HERE – Russian retreat: Kremlin reportedly setting up naval base in breakaway Georgian region. Russia’s new base in Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia is added proof that Ukraine is effectively winning the battle of the Black Sea off its coast.

IRAN THREAT

Unmanned vessels integrated for ops tracking Iranian ships: US 5th Fleet. The command said the operations were focused on tracking Iranian military and paramilitary vessels.

NORTH KOREA THREAT

A surge in rail traffic on North Korea-Russia border suggests arms supply to Russia. Recent satellite photos show a sharp increase in rail traffic along the North Korea-Russia border.

SPACE THREAT

Space Force conducts its biggest electronic warfare exercise ever. It wrapped up the exercise focused on electromagnetic warfare, Black Skies 23-3, with more than 170 participants, on Sept. 23.

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

F-35s leave Middle East after deployment to deter Iran and Russia. U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters that deployed to the skies over Syria have left the region.

Turkish warplanes hit Kurdish militia targets in northern Syria after US downed Turkish armed drone. The strikes are on sites believed to be used by a U.S.-backed Kurdish militia in northern Syria, after the U.S. downed a Turkish drone that came within 500 yards of American troops.

US preparing to officially designate military takeover in Niger as a coup d’etat after months of delay. The State Department decision could have dramatic implications on the ability of the US to work with a crucial counter-terrorism partner in the region.

Sweden says it’ll consider sending Gripens to Ukraine only after NATO membership. Stockholm has instructed the Swedish Armed Forces to “thoroughly” analyze and report on the impact on Sweden’s defenses of supplying Gripens to Kyiv.

US MILITARY

Modernized ‘BEAST’ B-1 Bomber makes first flight. The 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, recently launched a B-1B Lancer with a slew of technology upgrades.

What’s the firepower like for the Army’s new rifle? The Army’s new rifle, automatic rifle and fire control provide a more accurate, farther reaching and deadlier combination of weapons than a squad or platoon currently carries.

PREPARING FOR BIG WAR – 21,000 casualties in a week: The push to update medic training. In a recent corps-level wargame, Army forces sustained 21,000 casualties in seven days – nearly half the soldiers in a full-strength corps.

Well, on one hand, the Republicans could have already impeached Biden & Kackles and removed them both from office, thereby saving the nation. Or on the other hand, they could simply sit back and continue to blame Biden for all the messes he’s chronically and continuously creating.

What’s a Republican to do? Pointing fingers is a tough job, but by gosh, someone’s gotta’ do it!

    Bruce W Stanton

I can’t tell you how happy I am that this is not year 1941 and Biden is president.
