Republican challenger John McGuire has defeated Virginia Congressman Bob Good in a nail-biter primary battle for Virginia's 5th Congressional District.
House Freedom Caucus Chair Bob Good (R) is projected to narrowly lose his primary in Virginia to Trump-backed challenger John McGuire, delivering the former president a victory in one of the cycle's most tumultuous nominating contests, according to Decision Desk HQ.
McGuire declared victory the night of Virginia's primary despite only leading by approximately 300 votes.
