In the aftermath of a nearly successful assassination attempt on Trump's life at the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, President Biden addressed the nation from the White House, stating that Americans in politics and civilian life alike must “take a step back,” and cool down passions regarding political opinions this election season. For all intents and purposes, this appears to be an innocent message, encouraging us that violence must never be tolerated. A closer look at this seemingly harmless statement reminds us that Biden himself is to blame for creating a narrative that has sparked such violence and monstrous actions. Let's not be so hasty as to forget that just this past year, Biden was adamant that Trump be stopped, saying, “we cannot let him win,” at a fundraising event for his own campaign in December of 2023. Such a narrative that Trump's return to the presidency would be the end of democracy was created and stirred by Biden's own platform, with much of his voter loyalty depending upon the idea that Trump is dangerous and threatening to the fabric of our nation. The current president is guilty of full-scale demonization of his opponent, which he now must retract, hoping that the public has forgotten his own inflammatory slander. Although Biden says that “the shooter's political affiliations are unknown,” a single skeptical glance illuminates this as rather hilarious, as it does not take the investigation to realize the shooter's hatred for Trump as he attempted to murder him. Unruly passions and whims don't breed animosity such as this; attacks on character by stirring voters' imaginations through the rhetoric that Trump must be stopped lays the groundwork for fear in which an individual such as this might act into his own hands after seriously considering Biden's own words. Regardless of whether you hold Trump to be a savior of sorts or the devil himself, the attempt on his life reveals a standard of violence that must never be tolerated, and as such, it is unacceptable that our current leader speaks in incendiary tones that exacerbate the divide between the American people.
Despite Biden's best attempts at a grasp for the focus, the frenzy that has gripped all sides of the political spectrum only serves to highlight Trump's figurative strength in the American mind. Because the array of opinions on Trump's character is so diverse, ranging from borderline worship to violent hatred, there seems to be no end to his public appeal. Whether or not he is hated or loved, feared or respected, he successfully looms large in the imagination of the public, which, at the end of the day, works in his favor. Only someone such as Trump could survive the relentless attacks on his character and nearly be murdered on national television and emerge more victorious than ever. Ultimately, Trump has established himself as an American hero, albeit unconventional, who is bloodied but unbowed, just as he appears in a now infamous photograph, fist raised and defiant, cementing him as a leader who is unstoppable, akin to something out of a myth. Trump prevails in the face of slander, hatred, and even bullets, rendering him a figure of both hope and solidity that the American people choose to depend upon again and again.
For the hope of the American people to endure, the League for Sportsmen, Law Enforcement, & Defense condemns this act of violence as it attacks the very truths that Americans hold dear in terms of freedoms and liberties. The League is dedicated to protecting these rights while upholding the rule of law and rejecting the absurdities that have led to the attempt on President Trump's life. We must stand up for freedoms and be intent upon curating a community in which neither violence nor upheaval is tolerated. As Americans, we must continue to peacefully and respectfully express our differences and opinions to continue to build and protect our order of law and political systems.

What is interesting is that they are saying that Trump will do certain things if elected but they obviously forget he has already been in the White House and did NOT do those things. If he wanted to do the things these people say he will do they obviously have short memories.
