The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has officially released its platform, an exhaustive 92-page document that sets the tone for the party's direction. However, it is catching flak for multiple reasons, not least of which are no less than 19 references to President Biden's second term, indicating that its editors spectacularly failed at their jobs.
The Washington Examiner's Jack Birle reports:
Biden dropped out of the presidential race on July 21, but the platform stated, “This election is a choice between two very different economic visions for America: Donald Trump, who sees the world from his country club at Mar-a-Lago; and Joe Biden, who sees it from kitchen tables in Scranton like the one he grew up around.”
Biden's “second term” is mentioned 19 times despite the president not seeking one now, and Biden is mentioned 271 times.
The policies outlined in the platform also mirror Biden's proposals, but Harris's vow to make “price gouging” illegal is not included.
…
While Harris is now the focus of the Democratic Party as its presidential nominee, the GOP presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump, is mentioned 150 times compared to Harris's 32 times.
Harris is mentioned only six times throughout the entire document.
From the outset, the platform stakes out far-left positions. On the very first page, the DNC offers an apology to various tribal chiefs, seemingly apologizing for America's founding and existence.
While the platform covers a wide array of progressive hits, one area where it diverges from some activists' expectations is its stance on Israel. Despite pressure from anti-Israel protesters, the document does not endorse an arms embargo against Israel. This decision could lead to substantial disappointment among some factions within the party who were hoping for a more critical stance.
The release of the platform comes amid rising concerns about potential unrest at this year's Democratic convention. Some protesters have made alarming threats to “bring the war home” to the streets of Chicago and “Killer Kamala,” echoing fears of a repeat of the violent clashes that marred the 1968 Democratic National Convention, also in Chicago.

I will be so happy when all those Democrats are arrested, some for the second time, Harris for the second time. Then, good riddance to the trash of America.
