In response to new regulations announced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) last week, a Florida Congressman has introduced a bill to abolish the agency entirely.
Matt Gaetz, Republican Congressman representing Florida’s First Congressional District, announced the bill’s introduction Wednesday.
Its entire text is as follows:
To abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and
Explosives.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Abolish the ATF Act’’.
SEC. 2. ABOLISHMENT OF THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS, AND EXPLOSIVES.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is hereby abolished.

While I appreciate the gesture, because what few legitimate purposes the ATF serves, could easily be folded into another agency and therefore eliminate a lot of needless beauracrats (redundant, I know). I would start with the Federal Dept of Education. A total waste and empirical failure. When it was formed the US was top 3 in math, science and literacy; now I dont think we’re in the top 20.
There is nothing enumerated in the constitution about education, therefore relegated to the states – see Amendment #10.
ATF- drop the F only. A&T exist to ensure the flow of sin taxes and protect American A&T businesses from counterfeit product (usually with fake tax stamps). The foreign terrorists on US land used counterfeit tobacco to sell to like minded and ethnically compatible convenience stores/bodegas etc. The store profits by selling as name brand but with cheaper wholesale. The terrorists get millions this way. Everyone knows this, especially people in Georgia and Michigan.

Agree and the irs needs closed permanently get a fair tax fbi is another one along with the tsa, that needs to be private company so if caught stealing like many tsa have been they can be FIRED immediately and prosecuted, that will save a lot of Taxpayers money, no more giving Taxpayers money to blm, planned parenthood, abortion here or anywhere, no Taxpayers money to u.n. Removed from American Soil, no Taxpayers money to any country, that hate us, and don’t keep their people in their country, need to shut our boarders till we get this country back, shut down these social media garbage, even the internet it is not any good
