BREAKING – The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to reverse the Pistol Brace Rule – enacted by President Joe Biden's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, (ATF) earlier this year – with a vote of 219 to 210.
Two Republicans – Reps. Kean and Fitzpatrick – defected from their party on the vote, and two Democrats – Reps. Golden and Peltola – sided with Republicans.
The two lead sponsors of the resolution were Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) and Congressman Rich Hudson (NC-09).
The measure garnered the support of 188 total cosponsors before the House vote on Tuesday afternoon.
The motion now heads to the Senate, and if passed there – to the desk of President Joe Biden.
