The Franklin Armory Stribog Binary Trigger, first announced at SHOT Show 2024, is available for purchase. The Armory's latest binary trigger (the SP-S1 Binary Firing System, or BFS) is a drop-in trigger option for the Stribog SP9. They advise it'll work with both the SP9A1 and SP9A3 versions.
SP-S1 Stribog Binary Trigger
Like its predecessors, the SP-S1 model BFS utilizes a 3-position selectable trigger.
- Position 1: SAFE
- Position 2: SEMI-AUTO (traditional)
- Position 3: BINARY
In simplest terms, binary mode means “one in, one out.” When you pull the trigger, the weapon fires a single round, and then it fires a second single round when the trigger comes back out to reset.
Note: the “outty” or “release” round can be canceled by moving the selector out of Position 3 while keeping the trigger held to the rear.
Because only a single round is fired for each function of the trigger, Franklin Armory binary triggers are defined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives as semi-automatic triggers. They are legal to own without any NFA restrictions.

Franklin Armory's patented binary firing system (BFS) is intended to reduce split times, tighter pairs, and potentially tighter overall groups (and not just on the Grand Power Stribog SP9). That's obviously a Good Thing if you're doing some competition shooting, and it seems pretty handy for the occasional self-defense gunfight, too.
The current MSRP is listed at $499.99; you'll be able to find it for less depending on where you shop, though.
