Second Amendment Foundation Links Arms With Former NRA Leader

Washington state-based gun group () has announced a partnership with former Executive Director Chris Cox via his current venture -Capitol 6 Advisors.

The SAF noted the following in a press release issued last week:

“Cox spent 25 years at the National Rifle Association, including 18 as Executive Director of the 's Institute for Legislative Action, where he served as the NRA's chief political, legislative, and legal strategist. Away from , he founded an effort to enlist leading cultural brands and talents in the country music industry to promote a wholesome American lifestyle that includes a legacy of responsible gun ownership. He has been a frequent analyst on national news programs and was a primetime speaker during the 2016 Republican National Convention. Cox has been published in the Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Daily Caller, and other notable publications. He got his start in Washington in the 1990s as a senior legislative aide to a veteran Member of , managing issues relating to the judicial system and

SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut noted, “SAF has been the nation's leading force in the Second Amendment litigation world.   1. Good! The NRA can use all the help it can get. Many don’t understand that the Second Amendment was created to help them defend themselves against a totalitarian government. In addition to that the Second Amendment was written to help protect the First Amendment. If any who want total gun confiscation would take the trouble to read the US. Constitution they might possibly understand.
