Woox Knives Legend: Salve Leggenda!

-

I've been wanting a Leggenda for a while now, it's a true story. Mostly because I like the aesthetics of it, but also because one of their folding knives is way easier to carry in your pocket than one of their hatchets or tomahawks.

Regardless, it was good to put my hands on it finally — and dang it's nice. The lines are clean, the action is smooth, and it looks even better in person than it does on the internet. Is that a thorough review? Not a bit. Cogent, informed reviews of edgy topics are the purview of Mike, Jake, Higg, Josh, and some others who are far more knowledgeable than me.

I'm writing about it because I like it and I want one. Sorry, not sorry. Anyway, chances are, if you're still reading this, you do too.

BLUF: WOOX Leggenda Overview

The Leggenda is built with carbon fiber, carbon steel, and American walnut. The latter doesn't have the same Romanitas as Black Poplar or Italian Stone Pine might have, but it's plenty gorgeous. (Romanitas is a real word, by they way.)

Legendary Coltello

Leggenda is Italian for “Legend.” Some will complain about that moniker, likely because it's self-congratulatory, but I reckon you have to overlook that sort of thing. Same as you tune out the adverbs and adjectives in a press release or other marketing copy. Anyway, what are they supposed to call it? “Woox pretty okay good-lookin' flipper style folding knife” doesn't exactly inspire the same confidence or interest now, does it?

But I digress.

The Leggenda has received very good reviews on several platforms, from the actual Woox website and Amazon to some reviews on different knife sites. I'll do a better job of providing some actual useful feedback on down the road.

In the meantime, my initial impressions are positive. I like this knife.
