Bannon Declares War On House Republicans, Wants Primaries For Jim Jordan And MTG

-

has demonstrated a willingness to go scorched-earth on in his quest for a pure movement.

But on Monday's episode of his influential “War Room” podcast, the onetime White House chief strategist went further, saying he wants to see primary challengers for every GOP Member of who voted to increase the .

Two-thirds of the House Republican Conference, 149 representatives, voted in favor of Speaker McCarthy's deal. Reps. , and Jim Jordan were among the deal's supporters.

Mediaite reports on Bannon's appeal to the MAGA faithful:

“Let me repeat that. All of them, including people we're quite fond of and some who we used to be fond of, have to be primaried,” Bannon added, apparently referring to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) who reportedly said she is “done” with him in Friday text.

“You know why? They have to stand on a debate stage in the primary season and they have to justify what they did with the knowledge they had, at the time what went on and then what the impact is, because the impact on primary season is going to be a lot worse than it is today,” Bannon argued.

Grace Chong, the CFO and COO of Bannon's War Room podcast, shared Bannon's call to primary the 149 GOP House members on Twitter and also shared a list with each member's office's phone number. Bannon is still banned from Twitter after suggesting in November 2020 that Dr. Anthony Fauci and Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded.

Greene, who was also on the list, reportedly texted Rep.  (R-FL) that she had enough with Bannon's flame-throwing inside the GOP. “Steve and I aren't getting back together and if he keeps it up I'll take the house and kids. I hope you send it to Steve. Because I'm done,” Greene reportedly texted Gaetz.

  1. Bannon can’t compromise. You win incrementally, not all at once. He needs to stand down for a while.

    • There is no compromise with Democrats – the last 8 yrs is proof of that – the lies, the deceit the fake dossier – it does not end with them and they have not paid for any of their crimes. When we gave the GOP the majority in the House we were promised there’d be change – now it’s the same old backstabbing by both parties.

  2. all pols should be vigorously primaried every time. they must justify their actions in the ‘service’ of their constituents. allowing a free ride is what has created this quagmire of the ‘professional’ pol. the system does not function or serve as it should without regular injections of new blood–it stagnates and encourages the corruption we see daily. bannon is just as coarse and volatile as trump–but he’s correct on this one.

  3. Bannon is right – we voted those people in as they promised to fight for US not the Democrats ! They’ve had years of giving in to Democrats and we gave them a chance to change & change gov.’t. and they blew it the first chance they had. Will they backstab Trump too in 2024 ?
