Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is speaking out following the arrest of a South Carolina teen accused of threatening to kill her — a development observers say highlights a troubling rise in political violence against elected officials.
The suspect, 19-year-old Samuel Theodore Cain of Greenville County, who also identifies as Roxie Wolfe, was arrested last Thursday after allegedly posting a threat against Mace on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Cain now faces a felony charge for threatening the life of a public official, a crime punishable by up to five years in prison. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) officials confirmed Cain was denied bond and remains in custody.
Mace shared an image of Cain in a red prison uniform being escorted by law enforcement, stating plainly that this person had threatened her life. She also pointed out that Cain is not a biological woman — a detail relevant given the context of the threat and prior backlash she has received.
This is not Roxie Wolf, this is not a woman, and threatening my life is not a joke.

Since introducing legislation in November 2024 aimed at restricting public bathroom access based on biological sex, Mace has been the target of several threats. Cain’s social media threat, posted April 26, was among the latest escalation.

“As a mom, all I could think about was his family, and, as a mom, I stood there and I thought about my kids,” Mace said after Cain’s bond hearing. “My kids live in fear about being killed. My kids live in fear about being murdered. They live in fear of their mom being shot.”
Charleston’s ABC affiliate, WCIV, has additional details:
During the court proceedings, Mace delivered a victim impact statement, emphasizing the seriousness of the threats.
“These threats are not just words,” she said. “They’re meant to intimidate — they’re meant to silence — and they’re meant to paralyze public servants who were elected to do a job.”
Mace also expressed her gratitude towards law enforcement.
“And I’m grateful for. I’m grateful for the Capitol Police for following this through because they know about the fear that I live in, but one day someone’s going to pull the trigger, someone’s going to get a bullet, and someone’s going to die,” she said.
Samuel Cain’s father shook my hand and apologized, although it wasn’t his fault.

As a mom, my heart breaks for his family. But my children’s safety comes first.
I pray Samuel Cain finds God as he faces the consequences of his actions with the full force of the law.

No date has been set for Cain’s next court appearance.
The arrest underscores what Mace and others describe as the disturbing normalization of political intimidation—particularly online, where consequences are often delayed, minimal, or nonexistent.

This type of mental illness is the result of selfish indoctrination and dangerous over-prescription of drugs to the younger generation. Parents are, too often, unaware or feel helpless to reverse the path that is established on social media and in the classroom. Then there are those parents who selfishly use their kids to virtue signal. Others are doing their best, but don’t have/take the time to notice problems. We all need to take back our families! Our kids are being told they are victims, and if they just resist their parents and blindly follow, all will be well. We are seeing that is not true. Talk to your kids! Find out what they learned each day at school or in clubs, and have a conversation. Listen to them so you know what’s on their minds. Even if you don’t agree! It’s a starting point to remind them that you love them; that family is forever; and the views of teachers and social media influencers are fleeting and part of a greater agenda to control minds and behavior. A hug now and then also goes a long way!
This is caused by the hatred the left have for Trump and anyone who supports him. They have become mentally unbalanced because of this hatred.
The real irony is the male predilection for violence in “female” form!
