OPINION – After Texas police found over 50 dead illegal migrants in or near a tractor-trailer on the outskirts of San Antonio, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott blamed the horrific mass deaths on President Joe Biden's “deadly open border policies” and “refusal to enforce the law.” (RELATED: Biden's Border Crisis Kills 46)
These deaths are on Biden. They are a result of his deadly open border policies. They show the deadly consequences of his refusal to enforce the law.
And he is 100% correct.
It is Biden and ‘Immigration Czar' VP Kamala Harris' fault. And so are the deaths of hundreds more.
The tsunami of illegal migrants hitting the U.S. border began as Biden-Harris came to office last year and has only grown dramatically since, as Team Biden quickly dismantled most of President Trump's effective and humane border and immigration policies. And with it has come a tidal wave of death as Biden has presided over record levels of migration, deaths and rescues at the southern border.
According to official statistics reported by the Daily Mail, migrant deaths have skyrocketed with the number of fatalities reported in 2021 more than doubling those recorded in 2020, and the highest number of migrant deaths since the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CPB) began keeping track in 1998. Specifically, CPB recorded 557 migrant deaths along the southwest border in 2021, more than double the 254 recorded deaths in 2020, and nearly double the 300 who died in 2019.
Last December, more than 50 other migrants died when a similar tractor-trailer rolled over on a highway in southern Mexico on the way to the United States.
In October, Mexican authorities reported finding 652 migrants packed into six trailers near the U.S. border. Luckily for them, they were stopped at a military checkpoint.
Meanwhile, Biden quickly and shamelessly blamed the avoidable tragedy on ‘human traffickers who have no regard for the lives they endanger and exploit to make a profit.' Which is partly true.
But Biden then gaslighted his critics by adding that:
Exploiting vulnerable individuals for profit is shameful, as is political grandstanding around tragedy.
What Biden deliberately ignores is that it is crystal clear that his disastrous immigration and border policies are actively encouraging these human traffickers and the illegal migrants they smuggle.
And it is shameful that he, and other Democrats, are shifting the blame, rather than owning it.
Senator Ted Cruz, a Republican from Texas summed it up in his Tweet:
Horrific. This..is..WRONG. How many more people have to die before Dems give a damn?

Joe and Kamila are blaming human traffickers but what they fail to realize is the fact that they are the human traffickers and have been since taking office and opening up the uncontrollable influx of people not vetted or have any alledgence to our country except they will all be found when then the checks are in the mail. As far as affordability , we can not continue this outrageous pace of pay for all expense trip and perminent stay. we have homeless vets, we have an administration wanting medicade for all and what about the seniors who have paid all their lives for a guaranteed Social Security retirement. Joe and the VP are the human traffickers and not taking responsibility is just another admission of guilt.
Poor decisions, lousy judgements,compromised paid for positions, we could not have elected more of an anti American leader then if we put on some Chinese communist, in the white house, or maybe because of the way Hunter Biden brags about his influence over Joe Biden we could have. Why do we we have open borders, or war on our energy industry ,inflation, shortages, all stemming from a corruption in leadership, making decisions against our American way of life and values. There is ample reason to remove them.
Biden, his fraud administration, his supporters and rinos are ALL CRIMINALLY and FINANCIALLY responsible.
Biden, Harris and the MSM Do not think the way other people do. They truly believe (and insist everyone else believe) the only reality is what they are saying and doing in front of a camera this moment. That is why the Press Sec can say (without choking on it) “The border is closed.”
They want everything they said and did more than 10 seconds ago to be off limits.
When Dems and the MSM are confronted or reminded, they are outraged and claim it is a dishonest, discredited tactic of “what about-ism.” In the last 12 months, CNN has done has done at least three panel discussions ranting against it.
Starting in Aug 2019, Biden started saying the US can afford to pay for 2 millions immigrants and refugees a year.
Everything he and Harris are doing, including doing nothing, is to ensure 2 million get in each year.
And Ms. Harris has the cajones to whine that Gov. Abbott is “making it political”. Yo, lady, aren’t you the “border czar”??? Your butt should’ve been Air Force 2 the minute you heard about this tragedy. Making it political?!?!?!?!?! You and your boss have made EVERYTHING
