We have entered an age of rampant “sex warfare” where America’s enemies, mostly Russia and China, use attractive, sexy women as “honeypots” to ensnare U.S. defense and technology executives into giving away secrets. And sadly, it is working.
They are even targeting politicians, as many Democrats, such as Representative Eric Swalwell, have recently found. While the Soviet Union employed KGB-run honeypots against U.S. personnel with high-level clearances during the Cold War, insiders say it’s now “the Wild West out there.”
A senior U.S. counterintelligence official told The Times of London that America’s enemies have often replaced Cold War-era spies with everyday operatives who pose as businesspeople, investors, or analysts.
“We’re not chasing a KGB agent in a smoky guesthouse in Germany anymore,” the official said.
Both Russia and China use ordinary female citizens to spy for them, and industry is often the target. These women may even marry their victims and have children with them, gaining lifelong access.
As The Times reported:
Both Russia and the [Chinese Communist Party] CCP are using ordinary citizens — investors, crypto analysts, businessmen and academics — to target their American counterparts, rather than trained agents, making the espionage harder to spot… “Our adversaries — particularly the Chinese — are using a whole-of-society approach to exploit all aspects of our technology and Western talent.”
One former counterintelligence official, who now helps Silicon Valley founders divest their foreign investments, said he recently investigated the case of one “beautiful” Russian woman who worked at an aerospace company and married an American colleague. He discovered that she had gone to a modelling academy in her twenties but later attended a “Russian soft-power school” before disappearing for a decade and re-emerging in the US as a cryptocurrency expert.
“But she doesn’t stay in crypto,” the ex-official said. “She is trying to get to the heights of the military-space innovation community. The husband’s totally oblivious.”
The former counter spy told The Times that, sadly, these kinds of scenarios occur more often than people imagine.
The Times report caught the eye of Elon Musk, the tech mogul and world’s richest man, who said on X to executives wondering if their girlfriend is a spy: “If you’re a 10, you’re an asset. He followed this with 100% and laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, the New York Post reported that: “The House Committee on Homeland Security has warned that the Chinese Communist Party carried out more than 60 espionage operations inside the U.S. over the past four years, though former officials believe the true number is far higher.”
The Commission on the Theft of American Intellectual Property estimates that Chinese corporate espionage costs U.S. taxpayers as much as $600 billion a year.
In The Times piece, Jeff Stoff, a former China and national security analyst for the U.S. government, said:
China is targeting our startups, our academic institutions, our innovators, our DoD-funded research projects. But there’s not enough oversight and action. It’s all intertwined as part of China’s economic warfare strategy, and we’ve not even entered the battlefield.
He added that “for now, all America’s counterintelligence community can do is play catch-up.” That means spending more on combating corporate espionage and raising awareness of the Russian and Chinese threat in Silicon Valley.
But one reformed Russian “sexpionage” trainee responding to The Times article, explained how these honeypot tactics work and how to realize if you are a target. She added that female sex spies prefer to target single men.
Aliia Roza, a former Russian “sex spy” who defected from Russia after she reportedly fell in love with a target, told The Post that she was…trained as a teenage “seduction agent” by a covert Russian intelligence program and showed photos of her in uniform and at graduation as proof.
The Post added:
She says sex spies follow a sinister playbook designed to break down defenses before targets even realize they’re being hunted.
“They see the target, they need to get information,” Roza told The Post. “They need to manipulate the target, emotions, feelings, or whatever they can do, they will do it.”
The Russians and Chinese, she claimed, “manipulate their targets in a really bad way” and see their own agents as disposable.
Roza then explained the tactics the honeypots use to approach targets over time — establish trust, develop a bond, and then begin asking for information.
She said the manipulation of targets follows a predetermined script — and a seasoned agent never approaches their target “cold,” instead, “accidentally” crossing paths at least seven times before approaching.

This is supposed to be “news”? Nothing new about it.
Last year our church received a visit from a Chinese couple. I am the only one with secular understanding of this and some military training. The church is Mennonite; very caring, very open and naive to secular political events and policies. We sent a group to Hong Kong to see if a couple or two would move there to help a sister church that is established there. Well these two soul searchers showed up within a week of our sending people to Hong Kong. The woman was obviously the man’s handler. She was densely quiet with every piercing eyes that scanned everything. When she talked to the man, she did so on the side quietly. So this Chines fella said he was a science major in Boston and heard about our Church. He then started asking question like, what to we do for a living and have we ever been to China. We have two National Guard bases nearby and he asked a little about that. So I jumped in and asked why they traveled so far a distance to see our church. That is when the Cat and mouse game began. The Mennonites listened to our partial esoteric queries of one another untill he proclaimed openly, “Maybe you are here to get something. Maybe your are a wolf! So I look right at him and say, Maybe you are the wolf in sheep’s clothing!” He held his disquieted smile while his counter part listened intently. For sure they never came for spiritual advise. We never so his or her thereafter. This happened in Russell, Massachusetts.
Many young women are trained by their own parents and close family to learn out to control and manipulate others using their attractiveness and sex. Russia placed a number of sleeper agents in the US in the 1920s and 1930s. They had children who went through America’s public school system. I have met several people who were the children of these sleeper agents, spoke fluent Russian and spent their lives collecting valuable information for Russia as they were trained to do. Fascinating history.
