Illegal Immigrants Close To Winning Court Case Against Massachusetts

-

The state of is being sued by illegal immigrants for free housing, and they will probably win. That's right; people who broke into our country will win a lawsuit about getting taxpayer-funded housing from us.

How can this be? How do we owe them free housing?

We don't! But Massachusetts has passed some crazy laws that entitle them. No joke!

In 1983, the legislature and Governor passed a law called the right-to-settle. It gives people who claim to be homeless priority in housing. Immigration status doesn't matter. It is how Barack Obama's illegal immigrant aunt got public housing.

Our current liberal governor, , has been welcoming the illegals pouring into Massachusetts. Before she was elected to the corner office, she went to the border with open to invite them to our state. As they say, be careful what you wish for.

Our state is now approaching 7,500 illegal immigrant families or what her housing secretary calls a small city of newcomers. First, Healey declared a state of emergency, hoping that would ride to the rescue with federal help. No one showed up. Now, with every vacant hotel filled, our governor has capped the housing available for the illegals.

You might think that this liberal has gotten religion on this issue, like the mayor of New York City. You would be wrong!

Capping the housing only makes the state vulnerable to lawsuits because the state has not repealed the right-to-settle law entitling the illegals. Instead of working to amend the law so that it only applies to legal residents, she just capped the housing. Of course, liberal lawyers rushed to the courts on Friday to defend the rights of the illegals.

It gets worse. Healey has added $200 million into her supplemental budget to pay for lawyers for the illegals. That's right; we get to pay for both sides of the lawsuits.

If the state doesn't repeal this law and the illegals win, there is no stopping Massachusetts taxpayers from having to pay for housing for every illegal immigrant in the country.

Is it no wonder 1,100 people are leaving Massachusetts per week? Oops, let me rephrase. Is it no wonder 1,100 taxpayers are leaving Massachusetts per week?
