National Security

External energy source may explain ‘Havana syndrome.' The finding by a panel of experts, which was convened by U.S. intelligence agencies, suggests that a foreign power could have mounted attacks on U.S. diplomats, intelligence officers and military personnel serving overseas. 

SERIOUSLY VINDMAN? Trump son, allies sued by retired Army officer who was witness in first impeachment case.. A retired Army lieutenant colonel who was a pivotal witness in the first impeachment case against has sued the oldest son of the former president and other Trump allies, accusing them of participating in an “intentional, concerted campaign of unlawful intimidation and harassment” over his decision to testify.

Threat

Is the future of the Persian Gulf Chinese? American proponents of abandoning the often cite the need to pivot to Asia. However, Washington's regional retreat may achieve the exact opposite of U.S. objectives, ultimately emboldening and empowering China.

Russia Threat –

BIDEN'S SECRET APPEASEMENT – Leaked text suggests possible US-Russia missile arrangement over Ukraine. The United States could be willing to enter into an agreement with Russia to ease tensions over missile deployments in Europe if Moscow steps back from the brink in Ukraine, according to a leaked document published in a Spanish newspaper on Wednesday.

Satellite images show Russia training, more deployments around Ukraine. Nearly every area photographed now has tents or shelters for personnel, suggesting an increased overall readiness level. A few of the images show artillery training in progress.

These are the US troops rapidly deploying to Europe to counter Russia. The Pentagon has announced 3,000 U.S. troops are being deployed or repositioned in Europe in an effort to reassure allies in the face of aggression from Russia.

Poland to send air-defense weapons, ammo, drones to Ukraine. Poland has joined a growing group of countries declaring they will supply weapons to Ukraine amid the country's tensions with Russia.

Why the Donbass is the Key to Putin's Gambit in Ukraine. The disputed border regions are important to Putin only as a means to get what he really wants.

Germany helps Putin with its double standard on arms exports. Even as the U.S. intelligence community warns that a Russian invasion of Ukraine could come this month, the German government has rebuffed Ukrainian requests for defensive weapons. While Kyiv requested urgently-needed ships and weapons, Berlin decided to send helmets.

Russia Threat – Belarus

NATO says Russia to have 30,000 troops on drills in Belarus, north of Ukraine. NATO said Russia had stepped up deployments to Ukraine's northern neighbour Belarus in recent days and was expected to have 30,000 troops there for joint military exercises this month.

North Korea

North Korea documentary makes rare admission that country is in the midst of ‘food crisis.' A new North Korean state documentary made a rare mention of the country's “food crisis,” a glimpse into the realities on the ground amid mounting reports of pressures caused by the country's prolonged covid border lockdown. 

Threat

US Navy kicks off 60-nation maritime exercise in Middle East that includes unmanned, AI tech. The has begun a major exercise in the Middle East that both brings in 60 regional navies to rehearse operating together and introduces unmanned vehicles and artificial intelligence to test their contributions at sea.

International Security

US commandos launch ‘successful' raid in Syria, civilians also reported dead U.S. special operations forces carried out what the Pentagon said was a large-scale counterterrorism raid in northwestern Syria early Thursday. First responders at the scene reported 13 people had been killed, including six children and four women. 

Biden's Afghan Disaster

Over a million flee as Afghanistan's economy collapses. Thousands of Afghans are trying to sneak into Iran and Pakistan each day, in an intensified migration scramble that is stoking fears in Europe.

Military and Space

Marines deploy more rockets to Asia with new HIMARS battery. The Corps confirmed that in 2021 it added two HIMARS batteries to the active duty force.

NRO launches first secretive satellite of 2022. The National Reconnaissance Office launched its first satellite of the year on Feb. 2., with plans to launch more than a dozen additional payloads later in 2022.

  1. I read that the women and children deaths were caused by the terrorist himself. He blew himself and them all up, typical of their behavior.
    I’m disappointed in this article creating the impression our forces killed them. We can get that kind of “reporting” from MSM.
