And those demands include meeting face-to-face with U.S. negotiators over its covert nuclear weapons program. However, almost immediately after President Trump announced there would be direct talk this weekend in Oman, Iranian officials contradicted him saying the negotiations would be through mediators.
This didn’t go over well with Trump who said from the Oval Office that Iran “would be in great danger” if the planned talks were undermined. He said: “We’re having direct talks with Iran, and they’ve started. It’ll go on Saturday [April 12].”
Speaking next to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said: “We have a very big meeting, and we’ll see what can happen. And I think everybody agrees that doing a deal would be preferable.
“Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and if the talks aren’t successful, I actually think it will be a very bad day for Iran.”
Israel has also repeatedly vowed that Iran will never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, even as Tehran continues enriching uranium to near weapons-grade levels—a threshold previously reached only by nuclear-armed states.
While Nour News, an Iranian state media outlet aligned with its Supreme National Security Council, called Trump’s announcement “a complex and designed psychological operation to influence domestic and international public opinion,” Teheran should know that Trump’s threats should not be dismissed as just rhetoric or bombast.
The mullahs in Iran should have learned that lesson when Trump was in his first term, and he launched an unprecedented surgical strike that killed Iran’s terror mastermind Qassem Soleimani.

As I’ve written about earlier, the president has ordered a vast array of military forces to amass in the region, all within striking distance of Iran.
These include two aircraft carrier battle groups, F-35 stealth fighters and numerous nuclear-capable B-2 Spirit stealth bombers at the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean.
These bombers can each also carry two GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs able to plow hundreds of feet below ground before detonating a huge explosive device. These will likely be the preferred weapon of choice to target Iran’s deeply buried nuke facilities.
As reported by the Express, Dr. Pierre Pahlavi, deputy director in the Department of Defense Studies of the Canadian Forces College in Toronto, has noted that: “While it is still unlikely that the US will engage in full-scale war with Iran, it remains possible that targeted bombings of Iranian infrastructure and nuclear facilities could take place.”
Others are more convinced that Trump will strike if Iran dithers. Dr. Oz Hassan, reader of National Security at the University of Warwick, told express.co.uk that Trump was more than capable of starting a war with Iran.
“If the United States were to bomb Iran, what it looked like would depend on the goal. A small, targeted strike—perhaps on a nuclear site—might send a message but wouldn’t do much to stop Iran’s nuclear programme.”
“A serious attempt to destroy Iran’s capabilities would require a large, complex military operation, involving stealth bombers, powerful bunker-busting bombs and attacks on Iran’s air defences and military systems. This would look less like a quick raid and more like the start of a major war.”

These military scenarios have become much more realistic in the past year, as the U.S. is currently pummeling the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen and Israel has effectively dismantled Iran’s vaunted proxy armies—Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
It has also neutralized much of Iran’s air defenses. And the U.S. could delegate some of the military options to its Israeli allies, while providing the direct logistical support the Israel Defense Forces need.
Even as Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei and his much-hated repressive terror-sponsoring theocracy, have placed the country’s armed forces on “high alert” and threatened retaliation against U.S. bases in the region, the regime is probably weaker than it has ever been right now.

If they want to live in the stone age, then its time to show them the way there. Life is not about weathering the storm, its rally about dancing in the rain.
Wow! Aircraft Carriers!! Stealth Bombers, Bunker Buster Bombs!!
Trump? How many smuggled nukes are inside the USA …now?
…
For 16 years Obama and Biden opened up US ports and borders not just to drugs and illegal aliens. That smokescreen was needed to smuggle WMD’s inside the USA. Yes, Bio-Weapons and Nuclear Dirty bomb’s or even more likely, Nuclear Bombs that North Korea, Communist China or Pakistan gave or sold to them.
The fact that no action has been taken against against Iran tells me ……….THEY ARE ALREADY HERE! A ELF wave will trigger them.
…
Obama and Biden made it possible.

Dangerously Naive Trump did not consider that threat during his belabored first term.
