Twitter’s Bias Against Conservatives Has Already Gotten Worse

It’s no exaggeration to say that Twitter Spaces, a new feature on the microblogging website, has fomented hostility towards different groups of people.

Spaces lets Twitter users have live audio conversations with other users. The one below, talking about white supremacy, had a member that went on a very racist tirade.

Though his account was later suspended, some people’s reactions to his calls for genocide seemed surprisingly nonchalant. Others were disgusted.

Although that extremist got what he deserved, don’t let anyone fool you; it’s a dark time for free speech.

For example, despite the online renaissance investigative journalism has seen in recent years, the Democratic Party and its media sycophants have done their best to marginalize the work of fearless reporters like Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe and Accuracy in Media’s Adam Guillette.

Now, Twitter has announced that investigative journalism will be monitored and arbitrarily purged by its arbiters of truth.

A Controversial Change

Here’s Twitter attempting to explain its convoluted new rule:

Twitter claims that the policy change will protect the harassment of individuals by unscrupulous media outlets. The site further claimed, without evidence, that this kind of “intimidation” disproportionately affects women and minorities.

On the other hand, critics argue that it allows Twitter to restrict newsworthy information while protecting its friends and allies:

Truth Threatened on Multiple Fronts

In the meantime, the Biden administration has yet to offer a valid explanation for James O’Keefe’s persecution.

Tipsters at first approached O’Keefe with what was supposedly Ashley Biden’s diary before the 2020 presidential election. O’Keefe says that they subsequently claimed that Biden abandoned the diary. Unable to verify its authenticity, O’Keefe turned the diary over to law enforcement.

Around the same time, the Biden family reported the diary stolen. O’Keefe adamantly maintains that he didn’t know it was stolen. The Justice Department, then led by Attorney General William Barr, began an investigation that October.

Ultimately, a website not connected to Project Veritas published multiple pages from the alleged diary.

Months later, the Biden Justice Department launched a series of raids against Project Veritas associates. Their heavy-handed attempts at intimidation culminated in a search at O’Keefe’s residence, complete with a battering ram and armed federal agents. A handcuffed O’Keefe could only watch as FBI agents ransacked his apartment.

Now, Twitter has given a proverbial middle finger to O’Keefe and others by allowing certain people to get compromising videos and images of themselves removed from legitimate posts.

Among conservatives, faith in Twitter is at rock bottom. Although threats of abandoning the platform have increased since its Chief Technology Officer Parag Agrawal replaced Dorsey as CEO, it’s unclear if the right will coalesce around an alternative venue.
