UPDATE:
The suspected gunman in the shooting on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is dead. Las Vegas Metro Police first announced on social media that the suspect “has been located and is deceased.”
As of 3:47 p.m. (EDT), the university continued to advise students to stay indoors.

Police are responding en masse to an “active shooter” situation at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
Officers, including a SWAT team, were spotted rushing toward the Frank and Estella Beam (BEAM) Hall, home to UNLV's business school. Shots were also reported at the student union.
University police issued a campus-wide text message, telling students to “RUN-HIDE-FIGHT” depending on the situation.
“We are responding to preliminary reports of an Active Shooter on the campus of UNLV near BEAM Hall. There appears to be multiple victims at this time. Please avoid the area and we will have more information soon,” police said in a statement.
