At the end of January, arson was reported at the offices of two conservative groups. The apparent firebombing has sparked an extensive law enforcement investigation, including FBI assistance in identifying the perpetrator(s).
According to blogger John Hinderaker, the intruder(s) set two fires, one on the first floor and one on the third, in an office building in Golden Valley, Minnesota at around 2:00 a.m. on Jan. 28.
Luckily, no employees were present at the time.
The fire caused significant damage to the Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC), a conservative legal organization that fights the left's cause célèbres, like diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. UMLC recently filed a lawsuit against Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) for a law they say would limit free speech on election issues.
The first floor fire broke out in a corridor that connects the offices of the Center of the American Experiment and leased space for Take Charge, another conservative organization.
Hinderaker said that he provided the FBI with a list of possible suspects with political motives.
One perpetrator was captured on video rushing out of the Center for the American Experiment offices.
Although the suspect captured on camera is unidentifiable, there are cameras outside the building. These may have recorded a vehicle approaching before the fires started.
