A group of frustrated New Yorkers loudly heckled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats on Friday for their inability to satisfactorily address the migrant crisis affecting the city.
The confrontation came during a press conference with leading members of Congress outside of an impromptu migrant shelter at Manhattan’s Roosevelt Hotel.
Acknowledging that no city can manage an endless flood of migrants cascading through an open border, Mayor Eric Adams (D) admitted last week that the crisis “will destroy New York City.”
The New York Post reports on the chaotic scene:
“Send them back,” Jonathan Rinaldi, a Queens City Council candidate and serial sperm donor, shouted as the chaotic scenes unfolded outside the city’s main migrant intake site.
“Close the border, close the border. Respect the constitution AOC. I am your constituent,” a male protestor cried out.
At one point, a security guard grabbed a screaming Rinaldi, 44, and shoved him behind a barricade.
The protestors – brandishing “Americans first: Vetted & legal migrants only” signs – descended on the hotel at East 45th Street as the lawmakers were addressing the city’s asylum-seeking crisis.
Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jerry Nadler and members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus had just finished touring the makeshift facility.
“What we seek to do is to make sure that all the resources are necessary and that we are joining with the city and state,” Ocasio-Cortez stated before a man with a bullhorn began shouting over her.
“Illegal immigration is not right! Respect the constitution, close the border,” he pleaded.
The Bronx congresswoman continued, listing her solutions to the humanitarian crisis.
“I think that there are three points of consensus here that are very important in getting a solution to that issue,” she stated. “The first is that there is consensus here across geographies and state on increased federal resources to cities and municipalities dealing with this issue.”
“The second is to allow for work authorizations so that folks in here can get to work and start supporting themselves as soon as possible. They are prevented from getting jobs. They are prevented from employment and that is part of the strain on our public systems. The faster that folks can access the work that they’re asking for, legally, the better we can solve.”
The Roosevelt Hotel houses thousands of migrants. New York City currently has more than 200 emergency shelters for the 110,000 men, women and children who’ve ended up there after hopping the border since last year.
The massive influx has forced individuals waiting to be processed to sleep outside and created a black market of migrant employees.

Best solution for this country is to just deport them. They are criminals any way since they broke our immigration laws by coming here illegally. How about the government just follow the laws we already have, and stop most of them from crossing the border, and stop allowing them to be released into the country never to be seen again, except to get their taxpayer provided freebies.
These working people soon will return to their jobs. Illegal aliens will resume protesting insufficient entitlements, e.g., housing, food, education, transportation, medical care, protection and on and on. Eventually, illegal aliens will be permitted to vote in local elections. Then the compassionate will permit them to vote in federal elections. Then insurmountable benefits. Then we’ll see the war nobody wants.

Before the 2022 election, i emailed and telephoned Astoria, Queens small businesses, women and church organizations, thinking that I could make a difference about their feelings toward AOC.The following was mentioned in my communications: ruined Amazon deal, makes makeup and instructional toilet videos, ordering us to buy electric ovens, stoves, cars, pizza restaurants, encouraging books about hooking up between the same sex in the library for small children, drag queens, discouraging important subjects like math, learning how to read, American history, science, not encouraging subjects that could lead to Astronauts, doctors, nurses, plumbers, IT, architects, finance jobs, how to reason, how to socialize with people that have different ideas, not allowing parents to know about their children like sex changes, labelling parents as terrorists because they want to know about their children from disinterested school boards, not encouraging charter schools, etc.
Of course they voted for her.
