It’s long been clear that mainland China is not a friendly nation to the West or to bedrock liberal values. There are still strong pockets of denial about this – primarily among corporations, which have lashed their (and their shareholders’) financial futures to China’s mast.
But as former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd writes, the most recent communist party congress should remove every doubt that Chinese leader Xi Jinping is restoring the country – its people, politics and massive economy – to old-school Marxism. In the party congress report, we learn:
…that party members are now required to “grasp both the worldview and the methodology of Marxism-Leninism” and apply the “analytical tools of dialectical and historical materialism” to understand “the great challenges of the time.” In reinforcing once again this traditional Marxist ontological and epistemological framework for understanding and responding to the world, Xi has also called on the party to “develop a new form of human civilization.” This now extends to Chinese foreign policy, where Beijing is increasingly comfortable using pressure, leverage, and force. At the congress, Xi promised “an increased capacity for the army to win,” an “increased proportion of new combat forces,” and more “actual combat training.” In a new and particularly disturbing formulation, he declared in his work report that his administration had “acted with resolve to focus the entire military’s attention on preparing for war.” He said that Beijing had “coordinated efforts to strengthen military struggle in all directions and domains.”
It’s been a long time since the West has had to confront a committed communist regime of China’s size, power and ambition. What’s different from the days when the large, ambitious foe was the Soviet Union is how dependent the West is on China’s markets for profits.
Those days may not be over just yet. But Xi is telegraphing that they are numbered.

On Biden’s recent foreign trip, he went to see his boss, Xi Jinping, the President of China. In their expansive talks, Brandon said nothing about the Chinese made virus called COVID, nothing about the genocide and imprisionment of the Uyghurs in China that has been going on for years, and nothing about the Chinese made fentanyl that kills a hundred thousand Americans every year. Just nonsense about Climate change that ignores the fact that China is the biggest polluter on the planet. They are building coal fired energy plants as fast as they can (1,110 so far and 4x any other country), and are laughing about the fact that Biden has declared a “war on coal” here and will be making them rich by buying all the Chinese made solar panels. And they are laughing because they “own” Joe with the tens of millions they paid him and his son Hunter before the 2020 election. And I think he forgot to mention Taiwan (where 90% of the world computer chips come from), that the Chinese will be occupying in the next year or two before Joe leaves office.
Maybe we all better learn how to speak Chinese since it seems like they will soon own this country. American companies that moved their operations off shore started the downfall of the United States, and our politicians that are in the pocket of the Chinese, have pretty much finished off these United States of America. When the invasion comes we will see if those hundreds of millions of weapons that are in the hands of the people of this country will be put to use to try to repel the enemy?
