‘Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.’ You know President Trump is succeeding when his lefty wannabe nemesis, and 2028 presidential hopeful, Gavin Newsom, is shamelessly copying Trump’s playbook on fighting crime and homelessness.
Even as he rails against Trump’s anti-crime agenda, the copy-cat Democrat governor announced a new plan to deploy California Highway Patrol (CHP) “crime-suppression teams” across the state to prevent crime and promote public safety.
Not unlike Trump’s federal policing surge in D.C.
Sounding like Trump using the feds in D.C., Newsom’s office said in a statement: “CHP officers assigned to crime-suppression teams will saturate high-crime areas, target repeat offenders and seize illicit weapons and narcotics.”
Newsom’s announcement followed remarks at POLITICO’s California Summit, where he ridiculed the president’s “authoritarian tendencies.”
He has also later announced a new ‘SAFE’ task force to dismantle homeless encampments throughout the state, similar to Trump’s effort. Of course, Newsom claims his approach is different.
“The President is doing things TO PEOPLE. California is doing it WITH PEOPLE,” Newsom wrote on social platform X.
But slogans aren’t fact.
Trump signed an executive order this summer pushing cities and states to use law enforcement to get people off the streets and is he aggressively removing camps from D.C.
While Newsom claims his efforts are different from what Trump is doing in the nation’s capital, they really aren’t. He is simply using state resources, rather than federal, to do the job. And he is essentially finally doing what he should’ve done years ago.
Crack down on rampant crime and homelessness in his state.
If Newsom and his fellow radical pro-criminal Democrats throughout the Golden State hadn’t allowed these plagues to overrun its major cities, Trump wouldn’t have to do it for them. Same for D.C., Baltimore and Chicago.
The California governor made his announcement as some blue states and cities brace for the possible deployment of National Guard troops by Trump to fight crime in their communities, likely hoping to avoid it happening in his state.
The White House was quick to mock Newsom’s crime rollout, telling Fox News, ”After Newscum spent weeks criticizing the president’s highly successful efforts to crack down on crime, he’s reverted to his tried-and-true strategy: embracing and copying the Trump agenda.”
Meanwhile, on Fox News, Vice President JD Vance criticized Newsom’s attempts to imitate Trump, arguing Newsom can’t mimic the “king.”
“You can’t mimic the master; you ought to just go and be yourself. And I think the people would like that a lot more than a cheap imitation of the president of the United States,” Vance said.
“When I see Gavin Newsom trying to act like Donald Trump, that’s the opposite of authenticity. He’s not trying to be Gavin Newsom — whoever that is. He’s trying to be a fake carbon copy of Donald Trump,” he said. “And it just doesn’t work.”
But the White House is also happy that Newsom is finally doing something tangible to fix the problem.
As Fox News reported:
Despite the copycat accusation, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson acknowledged that “the more Democrats follow the president’s lead to crack down on crime, the better it is for the American people!”
“Stopping crime should not be a partisan exercise, but Democrats like Newscum have tried to make it one,” she added. “President Trump’s partnership with DC MPD has resulted in record drops in crime and countless dangerous criminals being removed from DC’s streets.”
Ultimately, it shouldn’t matter how or why Democrats do it, but finally tackling their rampant crime and homeless encampments helps America. Still, it’s great to see the big changes in blue states that Donald Trump’s actions are producing.
Meanwhile, red states with similar violent crime problems, like Louisiana and Mississippi, should follow suit. While crime and homeless camps are far bigger and more obvious issues in blue states and cities, as the White House noted, this should not be a partisan exercise.

I cannot express the depth of disappointment I have in Gavin Newsom. He is the worst governor on this planet, a do nothing grandstander that has no leadership abilities. He does nothing and then blames everyone else for his failures. My recurring nightmare is Gavin Newsom becoming president, as he will destroy America as he has destroyed California. He doesn’t have time or the motivation to fix the California he created and if he happens to actually accomplish something, it won’t be for the California people, it will be his pathetic attempt at running for president of the United States; God help us all.
Does Zero for CA day 1
I pray that doesn’t happen. However, he knows he is the only Democrat who has a prayer of being elected. With enough campaign money, lies, MSM support, and voter fraud, it could come to pass, and it would be a black day for America.
Newscumb is the lowest form of human being on earth. Prevarications, theft of taxpayers money, anti-American, anti-republic, hypocrite. He belongs in an eight by eight enclosure wearing an orange suit. Anyone that has or is thinking about voting for him is not an American.
