Crooks Risk Death Robbing Or Carjacking Cops And Feds In DC

-

ANALYSIS – Cops and robbers. The far-left D.C. swamp is getting so dangerous that federal officers are getting carjacked, police SUVs are getting stolen and vehicles are being broken into, even in the ritzy Georgetown neighborhood of the city.

recently wrote about the sky-high violent rate in D.C., including murders and carjackings.

The carjackings, often by young, armed teenagers, have hit average citizens and politicians alike. U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) was reportedly carjacked near the U.S. Capitol last month by three armed criminals.

But now even the police need to worry about thugs breaking into or stealing their vehicles and even being carjacked.

In the most recent case, a U.S. Secret Service agent protecting Naomi Biden, granddaughter of , opened fire after three punks attempted to break into one of their unmarked SUVs in , D.C, on Sunday. (RELATED: Secret Service Agent Protecting Biden's Granddaughter Opens Fire)

The Secret Service agents were out with the 29-year-old eldest daughter of First Son Hunter Biden and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.

As The Blaze noted about the incident:

…the Secret Service said in a statement that no one was struck during the gunfire. The three individuals who were involved were seen driving away from the scene in a red vehicle. As a result, the agency put out a regional bulletin for the Metropolitan Police to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Fox News added:

At around 11:58 p.m. on Sunday in the Georgetown neighborhood of D.C., Secret Service agents encountered possibly three individuals breaking a window on a parked and unoccupied government vehicle…

…”There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service,” the statement said.

But this isn't the first time in recent weeks that a federal officer has fired on would-be car thieves or carjackers in D.C. In an earlier case, one young carjacker ended up dead.

As The Blaze reported:

Late last month, an off-duty federal security officer fatally shot a 13-year-old boy who attempted to steal his vehicle. The officer was apparently waiting for his shift to begin when two children approached him and demanded that he get out of the vehicle.

The incident, which took place on October 28, was the 821st recorded that had occurred in D.C. since the start of the year, according to DC News Now. With less than two months before the start of 2024, carjacking incidents have spiked 107% in 2023 compared to the year prior.

But there's more. On Friday, The Washington Post reported that a marked SUV belonging to the University of the District of Columbia police department, was taken from campus about 3:45 a.m. The campus is in the 4200 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.

The vehicle was found Friday evening, according to a spokesman for the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), just west of North Capitol Street and about five miles from where the vehicle was taken.

The Post noted:

It was not clear who took the car or why or where it had been in the hours between when it was taken and when it was found. The gray 2023 Ford Explorer bore markings clearly indicating it was a police vehicle.

When local cops and federal agents are at risk of being carjacked or robbed, you know it's time for radical change to the far-left D.C. criminal justice system.
