Democrat online fundraising platform ActBlue, whose causes are backed by leftists worldwide, refuses to comply with federal laws prohibiting political donations by foreigners by requiring donors to verify they reside in the U.S.
Nearly all online political donation processors comply with the law by requiring donors to provide their credit or debit card’s customer verification value (CVV) to confirm U.S. residence.
But ActBlue suspiciously refuses to require legal compliance, raising the possibility that Democrat campaigns are using the loophole to raise illegally funds from foreign donors.
In all, ActBlue processed $3.8 billion in donations to Democrat candidates and organizations in 2020.
ActBlue is virtually alone in refusing to block illegal foreign donations.
“Several years ago, most big fundraising entities, including the vast majority of individual Democratic presidential, House, and Senate campaigns, along with WinRed, a GOP fundraising juggernaut used by numerous conservative campaigns and causes including the Republican National Committee, started using the CVV. ActBlue, however, remains a hold-out,” RealClearPolitics reports.
“We just want to make sure that ActBlue and anyone else requires the same thing that every vendor does when you buy a TV set online or anything else – that it’s not a fraudulent donation or coming from an illegal source like the Chinese,” John Pudner of Take Back Action Fund, a conservative election reform advocacy group, told RealClearPolitics.
In response, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) introduced legislation requiring political organizations to comply with the law by requiring a CVV number for online donations.
“This is an opportunity for Democrats to go on the record in support of keeping foreign money out of our elections. This common sense reform should pass by unanimous consent. Any elected official who opposes this bill begs the question of why they support allowing foreign money into U.S. elections,” said Rubio. U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) are cosponsors of the legislation.

Isn’t ActBlue the guys who took your money if you donated to BLM? Aren’t they the main contribution point for all democrat operations? How can they just refuse to turn down foreign donations? I thought it was already against the law for a campaign to use money from foreign interests. And I get about a hundred emails a day telling me that the democrats are outspending our Republican team, like 10 to 1. Is this why? Are communists all over the planet contributing to the democrats “most secure elections ever?” Time to take out the trash. And believe me, the democrats do nothing to change my opinion that they are nothing but trash. Only fit for the rubbish can.
