The U.S. consulate in Erbil, located in northern Iraq, is reported under attack by drones and ballistic missiles apparently launched by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The Revolutionary Guard has taken responsibility for the attack, which targeted the consulate and airport.

U.S. officials state that the missiles appear to have been launched from Iranian territory.
According to U.S. Officials, the Ballistic Missile Attack which Struck near the U.S. Consulate within the City of Erbil in Northern Iraq appears to have been launched Directly by the IRGC from Iranian Territory.

According to security officials, the consulate, and nearby residential buildings, sustained significant damage. Authorities are conducting a search and rescue operation.
