No more equivocating.
A growing number of House Republicans have pledged to oppose the forthcoming government funding bill unless President Joe Biden acquiesces to their long-held demand to secure the U.S.-Mexican border.
Unless meaningful steps are taken to secure the southern border, Rep. Barry Moore, R-Ala., and nearly a dozen Republican members of Congress will revolt. Breitbart News obtained a copy of Moore’s letter, sent to Biden himself.
The letter, heavily focused on the fentanyl epidemic, comes ahead of an anticipated congressional fight about whether to pass a continuing resolution to extend current funding into next year or to pass a new omnibus bill, which Democrats are angling to do before the lame duck session concludes.
“We cannot, and will not, support any appropriations package for FY2023 unless you immediately take action to strengthen and restore the integrity of the southern border and protect the American people, especially our children, from deadly fentanyl,” the Republicans wrote.
The group of conservative lawmakers listed the following recommendations:
- Secure the southern border by resuming construction of the border wall that President Trump started, since this is where most of these drugs are coming into the United States.
- Rescind your executive orders dismantling the prior administration’s immigration policies, including the Remain in Mexico policy, commonsense asylum policies, and the pre-pandemic pace of visas, that have incentivized countless migrants to make the dangerous journey to our southern border, diverting limited resources and stretching personnel at the border to the breaking point.
- Support our law enforcement officers fighting on the front lines to protect our citizens by personally visiting and meeting with Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and other law enforcement personnel at the border and publicly pledging to provide them the resources they need to perform their duties.
- Permanently classify fentanyl as Schedule I drug to make permanent the additional resources afforded law enforcement to respond swiftly and appropriately to this drug.
Besides Rep. Moore, the letter’s signers are Ralph Norman, R-S.C., Pete Sessions, R-Texas, Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., Jim Banks, R-Ind., Mary E. Miller, R-Ill., Paul A. Gosar, R-Ariz., and Andrew S. Clyde, R-Ga.

Hey House Republicans! Don’t be fooled. Democrats routinely promise whatever gets them what they want, then back out on their side after they have gotten it. Make them go first or you will be selling the rest of us into debtors prison.

The House Republicans should just revolt. If Biden does not agree to secure the southern border. Period
Good! BUT The GOP has given up before, never a real threat that was followed up on. It should be simple. CLOSE THE BORDER OR NO BILL. It’s a known joke shutting down the government doesn’t mean sheet. So close it down!
This is especially important with Biden now trying to criminally blame the CBP for the mess at our borders, for which HIS régime is wholly responsible!
And while a growing number of House Republicans threaten to hold their breath until they turn blue unless Biden’s handlers give in, illegal aliens continue pouring in across the border. Dem’s AND Republicans – they’re ALL a bunch of squishes!

Unless he meets their demands? They have to impeach him! That should be priority 1 and last until 2024 when he is either gone by impeachment, elected out of office, or thrown out by force. This moron will never meet anyone’s demands. He is a thug, period. He deserves no treatment like a normal human being, he has earned that all by himself even without the help from his commie party. Oh boy, another strongly worded letter that has no teeth.
Who is to say that biden’s Puppet Master isn’t building an army with all the illegals he is allowing to cross our border? How easy is it for the Puppet Master to secret an entire army into America when we have open borders with 1000s of people crossing each day? PM has been flying and bussing some of the people to certain destinations, where? Conspiracy theory? Perhaps. Time will tell. When has America ever bussed and flew illegals to within our borders in the dark of night? Why has biden’s stance on gun control become the sudden push to force registration of guns and removal of certain guns? Because <100 criminals use guns to commit crime while MILLIONS of legal gun owners don't? There are 100s of 1000s "assault weapons" if not millions and only a few used in crimes yet they want to take away our right to protect our homes, businesses, families and ourselves because a few criminals?
