ANALYSIS – PART TWO OF THREE – CONTINUED – In part one “Conspiracy Theories or Valid Questions About Trump Shooting?” I discussed several claims that had been made, and later confirmed or contradicted by law enforcement or the media and asked whether Tucker Carlson may be right to ask if Trump’s would-be assassin was a lone gunman or had help.
Here we look at some of the more detailed questions and claims from someone who believes Thomas Matthew Crooks didn’t act alone.
First, this observer on Substack believes Crooks was a “patsy.” He writes:
While in hindsight it might seem obvious that were Crooks took his shots from was the ideal location, try and imagine you are Crooks trying to come up with a plan to assassinate Trump at a completely novel outdoor event. Think about the level of planning and foreknowledge it would take to determine where the best place to shoot from would be. You’d have to know where the stage would be, where the bleachers would be, which building tops gave you an unobstructed line of site while keeping your approach hidden from counter-sniper teams, and how you would get onto the roof without being stopped or spotted before you could get your shots off.
You’d have to scout the location well in advance, know the height of the bleachers, know the height of the stage, where the sniper teams would be, etc.. How long before the event would the stage and bleachers be erected? How much time would you have to plan? Would you be counting on sheer luck that there were no drones or helicopters providing overwatch of the venue or would you have a plan to deal with hiding from those as well?
It’s not sheer dumb luck that Crooks chose the absolute ideal location to shoot from, or that there were no drones providing over-watch, or that the police apparently lacked a way to communicate with the SS team that was stage-side. This was expert level planning, with foreknowledge on where counter-sniper teams would be, how communications were being handled, what position provided the best cover and obstacle avoidance, along with skilled marksmanship.
While Crooks was rejected from his high school rifle team for EXTREMELY poor marksmanship and making off-color comments, on the day of the assassination attempt we saw a competent shooter place a 150 yard shot that only missed Trump’s skull because of a last millisecond head movement by Trump and a very strong wind. This is not the shooting of someone who couldn’t hit a target 50 feet away, as members of the high school rifle team claim.
Second, we have far left MSNBC pundit Joy Reid stating with typos and misspellings on Threads:
“I have many questions! Like where are the medical reports?,” followed up Reid. “What caused Trump’s injury and what was the injury? Sheapnel? Glass? A bullet? Where were the three attendees who were shot seated or standing relative to Trump? Why was Trump allowed to stand and pose for photos, fist pumping for nearly ten seconds while asking about his shoe when there could easily havs been additional shooters? How did the gunman manage to get on the roof of the building WHERE THE LOCAL POLICE WERE LITERALLY INSIDE?”
“More questions: does it make sense that a 17 year old who three years later is a member of a far right gun group donated to any political organization, let alone @actblueorg???” she continued. “Has the organization verified that? And where is this supposed ladder? Did he seriously bring a five foot ladder with him and his AR? Really? And why haven’t authorities released information about all three civilian victims, including a schematic of where they were standing or sitting?”
Many of Reid’s questions have already been answered to my satisfaction at least.
Still, former Army sniper, and now GOP congressman Cory Mills has also raised questions about the attempt on Trump’s life as he called for a thorough investigation. Mills spoke to CNN following the rally shooting in Pennsylvania on Saturday (13 July).
“The amount of negligence, the amount of mistakes that were made here, I have a very difficult time not leaning myself towards this was intentional as opposed to fecklessness,” Mills told CNN anchor Kate Bolduan on Tuesday (16 July). Appearing shocked, the CNN host pressed Mills further, to which he replied: “I sit here and scratch my head. You don’t want to be the conspiracist. That’s the issue. You walk this fine balance, but –
Mills added: “As soon as the local officer encountered the alleged shooter, Mills said, there should have been an alert sent out notifying agents of a ‘shooter on the roof,’ and “Secret Service should have rushed the stage and immediately took the president and took him off, and then responded, the counter sniper.”

Back in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, there was a series of paperback books by Fawcet (sp?) about a secret agent named Mat Helm, by Donald Hamilton. His job was to kill people who had become inconvenient
for the government to have around. Do yo suppose that the series was not all that fictional, and buried somewhere in the secret agent bureaucracy exists such and agency now? Obviously, Donald Trump is someone who the Biden administration considers inconvenient to have around.
If this shooter took a high level of planning, you’d think he would have also had an escape plan so not to be killed on-site.
Joy Reid continues to demonstrate the absolutely moronic, propagandistic nature of most Democrats, and especially the disastrously faded crones of “The View” by labeling a non-partisan shooting team ” a far right gun group “. Matthew Crooks was as right wing as the Nicaraguan Ana Violeta Navarro Cardenas of “The View”.
