A parent’s worst nightmare…
Parents of a fifth-grade girl at a Long Island elementary school have taken the unusual step of suing their school district.
The drastic move came after the girl’s teacher, Debra Rosenquist allegedly pressured the child into questioning her gender identity.
The parents insist that Rosenquist pushed their daughter to identify as a transgender boy.
According to their suit, the teacher went so far as to make the young girl use male pronouns.
Rosenquist’s insistence on promoting gender expression allegedly caused the confused child to discuss suicide openly.
The New York Post explains how everything spiraled out of control:
Debra Rosenquist — a 5th-grade teacher at Terryville Road Elementary School in Port Jefferson Station — started calling the 9-year-old Leo and using opposite gender pronouns toward the beginning of the 2021-’22 school year, according to a lawsuit filed in Suffolk County Court by the child’s parents last month.
The parents say they were only clued in about what was happening in January 2022, when the school principal called them telling them their child – referred to in court papers as A.V. – had drawn a picture of a girl, writing “I wanna kill myself” and “I feel sad like a lot,” the filing claims.
The principal also informed the parents that A.V. had even met with the school psychologist telling the mental health worker that she “was confused about her gender identity,” the court papers say.
Despite Rosenquist, 62, having referred to the student “for months at that point” as Leo, it was only during the Jan. 27, 2022 call that the parents were asked for the first time if this name was okay, the suit claims.
The lawsuit claims that Rosenquist pushed the concept of gender dysphoria on young, impressionable boys and girls, including “persuading her 5th-grade students to try ‘being gay’ or being another gender even when they were not. To further her agenda, Rosenquist read and provided her students graphic books about gender and sexuality which were not on the curriculum.”
District officials told parents in a meeting that the administration had no idea Rosenquist was teaching from books outside of the curriculum.
Books that discussed “transitioning, surgery, and hormones” with prepubescent children.
The parent’s attorney told Fox News that the Brookhaven-Comsewogue School District has yet to fire Rosenquist.

The school should have fired the “teacher” as soon as they found out what she was doing, if for no other reason then to ensure they weren’t sued. If that was my child that teacher wouldn’t be teaching anywhere anymore.
Debra Rosenquist should not be teaching anywhere, nor should anyone else who promotes gender expression the way she does. She and others like her are damaging the students in their classes. This school should have fired her when they found out what she was teaching. Parents need to stand against the evil she represents.
Teachers that do this to children have deep-seated psychiatric issues of their own and, for the children’s safety, should not be permitted in the classroom at all.
Some of these “educators” have become the self-appointed saviors of the “super woke” and are actively indoctrinating children to question their gender, distrust and disobey their parents, be ashamed of being American and are instilling Socialist ideologies as well as targeting these now confused children by stating if you are born Caucasian you are an inherently evil racist living in a country plagued by “systemic racism.” These “teachers” aren’t as good as any type of excrement that may have been scraped off of the bottom of my TEACHER’S shoes and they were true EDUCATORS and ROLE MODELS that children looked up to and genuinely respected. The women that was instructing this classroom, I refuse to reference her as a “teacher”, should be fired, sued, charged with whatever possibly criminal charge that could possibly apply (no matter how obscure), be stripped of her teacher certification and never be allowed upon any school property ever again. I would continue but my time is limited and there is not sufficient enough space on this platform for me to really “tell you just how I really feel about it”, she is a disgrace to the profession.
Up to now I see no evidence that psycho creeps like this ‘teacher’-social- engineer are active in our red-purple state schools. But I shall keep my eyes and ears open.
