ANALYSIS – It just keeps getting better and better. Or more surreal by the day. The contrast between the coddled Hamas-supporting student protesters demands at Columbia Law School and reality keeps entertaining me.
This is especially true since these are arguably the elite of future lawyers of America. (RELATED: George Washington University Administrators Sentenced By Student Tribunal)
After students and outside agitators violently occupied buildings and property at the Ivy League university in New York City, the student editors at the Columbia Law Review want the school to cancel exams and pass all its students after police cleared out the anti-Israel encampment last week.
The rowdy tent city had been disrupting campus life since it began weeks ago.
Cops also rooted out rogue rioters who seized control of historic Hamilton Hall, after the rioters' smashed windows, destroyed furniture and barricaded entrances to the building.
The clueless law students claimed that the New York Police Department (NYPD) action left all the law students “irrevocably shaken.”
The letter they wrote was published right after New York's finest dismantled protesters' tent city Tuesday night and evicted them from nearby occupied Hamilton Hall.
“The violence we witnessed last night has irrevocably shaken many of us on the Review,” the editors whined in the letter, published by Above The Law. The letter was also signed by five other law journals at the school. (RELATED: NYPD Commissioner Reports Startling Findings At Columbia Encampment)
The idiots also said that if it doesn't cancel finals and pass everyone, the law school should at least allow students to receive a simple pass/fail grade.
All this because these snowflakes are just so upset.
In the silly letter, the editors wrote that the school administration has “refused to consider our calls for making all classes this semester mandatory pass/fail,” despite the fact that three-quarters of its students support it.
“We recognize our position as a student-run academic journal that simply cannot function if our students are not well,” said the letter, adding: “Many are unwell at this time, and cannot study or concentrate while their peers are being hauled to jail.”
Apparently, having their peers violently occupy buildings and threaten Jewish students isn't a distraction, but the police clearing them out is one.
Meanwhile: “Student protesters occupying Hamilton Hall will face expulsion, University spokesperson Ben Chang wrote in a Tuesday press release.” I guess this means no free pass and no canceling of finals.
