Mayor Eric Adams (D) says the city is about to hit its breaking point.

On Tuesday the mayor asked to suspend New York City‘s “right to shelter.” Mayor In his request, Mayor Adams said his administration can no longer guarantee housing for the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants arriving in the city.

“It is in the best interest of everyone, including those seeking to come to the United States, to be upfront that New York City cannot single-handedly provide care to everyone crossing our border,” Adams said.

The mayor added, “Being dishonest about this will only result in our system collapsing, and we need our partners to know the truth and do their share.”

The blue city mayor has publicly acknowledged NYC's inability to continue accepting migrants as the Southern continues to rage.

According to Fox News, a memo from the New York City Office of Management, reported by the New York Post, the city will spend an estimated $4.2 billion on costs related to migrants and asylum seekers that would be spent through June 30, 2023, and the end of fiscal year 2024.

Last month, Adams told reporters the migrant crisis the country is facing has “destroyed his city.”

Earlier this month, the -era Title 42 policy expired prompting a major surge of migrants.

  1. Maybe Adams should declare the whole of New York as a “Sanctuary State”.
Or has Hochul already done that?

    • NY is already a Sanctuary State for criminals. queeps, reprobates, parasites and the morons who enthusiastically support them.

  2. If Adams think NYC is asked to “single-handedly provide care to everyone crossing our border,” he needs to go visit the border states. NYC has only a small fraction of the illegal immigrants.

  3. Sanctuary-city Black-supremacist racist Hispanophobe! Stop whining and just raise taxes again and there will be plenty of money to house, educate, and feed these refugees just wanting a single bit of The Big Apple. Mayor. Go read the welcome to all immigrants chiseled into the base of the Statue of Liberty….”Give us your tired poor homeless immigrants yearning to be free”. Time for you to live up to your words.

  4. So, when it was happening at the border States you didn’t care, but now that it’s happening in your state you see the problem. Now that’s great leadership there not seeing the obvious consequences until they are at your door. IMO
