Attorney generals in Republican-led states were reportedly urged by former President Donald Trump to investigate former Speaker Nancy Pelosi after her husband, Paul Pelosi, sold Visa shares just before the federal government filed an antitrust lawsuit against the credit giant.

Paul Pelosi sold 2,000 shares of Visa stock, valued between $500,000 and $1 million, on July 1st – months ahead of the Justice Department’s lawsuit accusing Visa of monopolistic practices. It’s unclear if Pelosi profited from the sale.

The New York Post reports:

On Tuesday, less than three months after the massive transaction, Visa was hit with a DOJ lawsuit alleging that the company illegally monopolized the debit card market.

During a rally in Michigan on Friday, Trump claimed Pelosi sold the stock the day before the DOJ’s announcement and demanded an investigation into the former speaker and her spouse. “Nancy Pelosi. So why don’t we get some AG somewhere… to do a little investigation? Sold the Visa stock!” Trump stated, suggesting a political probe in GOP territories.

“Think of that. Nancy Pelosi sold vast amounts of Visa stock one day before the big lawsuit that we all read about a few days ago,” Trump told his audience of adoring fans.

“You think it was luck? I don’t.”

She should be prosecuted,” the GOP nominee declared. “Nancy Pelosi should be prosecuted for that.”

A spokesperson for the 84-year-old congresswoman did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

At the time Paul sold the Visa stock, there was no public indication that the antitrust lawsuit against the company was imminent.

Shares of Visa closed down 5.5% the day the lawsuit was announced.

He ‘might’ not have profiteered off the sale but you can bet the family farm he didn’t lose any money. The timing of the sale is at best fortuitous. Now if the ‘investigation of that corporate entity turns up ‘irregularities’ he can claim he had nothing to with them.

He is a corrupt Democrat and will get away with this travesty. If this was a Republican all hell would break loose. Goes to show you how stupid half of the American population is. Harris 2024 = more corruption and further destruction of America.

The fact that Pelosi sold the stock before the public announcement is totally irrelevant. His wife knew about the lawsuit, and just like all the other inside knowledge Nancy Pelosi has been privy to during her far too long government career, they illegally used it to make themselves money.

Leftists might enjoy some Lawfare turn-about!
They were certainly giddy about dispensing it.

Pelosi should have been charged 20 years ago. Her insider trading has been known for decades. She is crooked as hell.
