The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) governing body has initiated an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by its chief prosecutor, Karim Khan. The decision comes amid increasing scrutiny and pressure from various international entities, including a bipartisan group of U.S. senators urging the court to address these claims.
The Times of Israel reports:
The letter sent to the ICC, which was backed by Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Ben Cardin, urges the court to complete its investigation into Khan before deciding on the arrest warrants he’s seeking for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and recently fired defense minister Yoav Gallant.
Senators Lindsey Graham, Joni Ernst, Richard Blumenthal, John Thune and John Fetterman also signed the November 1 letter.
Court officials have suggested the allegations against Khan may have been made as part of an Israeli intelligence smear campaign. However, others have suggested that the high-profile charges against Israeli leaders — brought after the sexual misconduct probe began — were meant to distract from Khan’s misconduct.
In May, Karim Khan made headlines by announcing his intent to seek arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and three senior Hamas leaders on war crimes charges. Since then, Netanyahu has fired Gallant, and the three Hamas leaders have been killed, but Khan’s statements continue to impact Israel’s international standing, specifically challenging Netanyahu’s administration. Israel, however, does not recognize the ICC’s authority, and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has also voiced criticism of the Hague-based tribunal.
The investigation into Khan also brings attention to his family background, as his brother, Imran Ahmad Khan—a former Conservative MP in the U.K.—was convicted of child sexual assault in 2022. The spotlight on Karim Khan adds another layer of complexity for the ICC, an institution that regularly faces geopolitical and legal challenges on the world stage.
Khan has categorically denied the allegations, saying there was “no truth to suggestions of misconduct.”
As the investigation unfolds, the ICC’s credibility and approach to internal accountability will be closely watched by both supporters and critics.

The U.K. has turned into a “hotbed” of leftists much like the Democratic (Marxist) Party in the United States. People are getting tired of this hateful rhetoric from the left and their agenda to destroy family values, and their country’s constitution.
