A Republican Member of Congress is dead following a violent car crash in Northeast Indiana.
Jackie Walorski had represented Indiana's 2nd District from 2013 until her untimely death at around 12:30 p.m. ET today.
According to reports, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 19 that killed four — including the representative.
South Bend's ABC 57 has the preliminary details:
Three people in an SUV were killed in the crash, including Walorski, Zachery Potts and Emma Thompson.
The sole occupant of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also pronounced dead at the scene.
She has been identified as 56-year old Edith Schmucker of Nappanee.

Jackie was a conservative stalwart in the IN legislature before being elected to the House. Condolences to all her family!
the conspiracy theorist in me says it sounds like a hit. . .
Was she a RINO??
So heartbreaking! Prayers for her family and friends.
Over the past half century the federal government has imposed gas mileage standards and penalized automakers for not meeting them. This has resulted in vehicles that kill occupants in a serious accident. Now, to discourage purchase of larger, heavier cars the Biden administration has taken moves – from day one – to elevate the cost of motor fuel, even to encourage the purchase of heavier electric cars with hazards all their own. Let the market decide, Joe! Stop government subsidies, government interference in the marketplace. And resume Keystone.
has the smell of sulfur, might need the mule team to follow the other drivers phone call to see who she is talking to.
