A shockingly heinous statement was made by a high-ranking Democratic lawmaker just hours after a nearly fatal assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Despite a gunman’s bullet narrowly missing Trump’s brain and a firefighter tragically losing his life while shielding his family from gunfire, leading Colorado state Rep. Steven Woodrow (D) took to social media to taunt the victims:
“The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are.”
Woodrow soon deleted the post and closed his X account. However, once something is posted online, it tends to live on indefinitely.
The Denver Gazette has more on the embattled lawmaker, who is facing criticism from both sides of the aisle:
Trump was holding a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania when a gunman shot him. A bullet pierced Trump’s ear. The former president was quickly whisked from the stage by Secret Service agents, his ear covered in blood. The gunman was killed and a bystander also died.
Shad Murib, chair of the Colorado Democratic Party, said he spoke with Woodrow, who chairs the House State, Civic, Military, & Veterans Affairs Committee, over his social media post.
“This is a regrettable tweet and @coloradodems condemn it,” Murib said. “We also condemn Lauren Boebert recklessly and dangerously blaming President Biden for today’s attack.”
Murib added: “Folks – we must commit ourselves to helping to calm our politics, not further dividing us.”
Rep. Woodrow has represented Colorado House District 2, covering southern Denver, since Jan. 9, 2023. He is the Democratic nominee for the Nov. 5, 2024 general election.

Woodrow (POS) needs to be dismissed from all of his responsibilities in the Colorado government!! And Murib, Brobert was correct in blaming Xiden for this idiot’s actions!! Just a short time ago Xiden told the public that a BULLSEYE needs to be placed on Trump!!!
As appealing as it is to voice a desire for “coming together” and unifying in our political discourse, it is exremely unlikely that we will accomplish that as long as we have a radical element leading the democrats that is doing everything in its power to subvert the constitution, destroy the individual freedoms that it provides, and is intent on transforming our nation into a globalist dystopia. How do we “unify” with those who would destroy our country, abolish our freedoms, and make us subservient to the demands of the world’s dictators and authoritarians?

Woodrow expresses they typical vitriol associated with the Democratic Party as does Dan Goldman. No one ever realized what slithering snakes the Democratic party had become. They are relentless in their attacks against anyone who doesn’t share their views. All you need to do is listen to Pelosi, Schummer,Whoopi,Maxine Waters(she’s a beaut!) any democrat on a daily basis makes you cringe
