The governor of the country's third-most-populous state is aggressively pursuing COVID vaccine manufacturers and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Ron DeSantis petitioned the Supreme Court of Florida on Tuesday to impanel a grand jury to scrutinize the vaccines' development, distribution and PR campaign.
DeSantis says he's focusing on “accountability.” Critics argue he's casting doubt on the effectiveness of the FDA-approved vaccines to score political points.

The Daily Wire has more:
The announcement was made alongside Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and other health officials at an event focused on “accountability” for the COVID mRNA shots.
“That will come with legal processes that we'll be able to get more information and to bring legal accountability for those who committed misconduct,” DeSantis said.
The governor also announced a public advisory board for oversight of “the public health establishment,” as described in a tweet from his press secretary Bryan Griffin.
