An Emmy Award-winning ABC News journalist hasn’t been seen in months. Besides a successful career in journalism, James Gordon Meek, 52, served as a senior counterterrorism adviser and investigator for the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee. He was also writing a book detailing one part of President Biden’s chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
According to Rolling Stone magazine, FBI agents raided his upscale Northern Virginia apartment in April. Meek hasn’t been seen since.

The publication claims that sources familiar with matter said that he was the target of a federal investigation and that the FBI allegedly found classified information on his laptop during the raid.
None of Meek’s neighbors have seen him since the raid, the report said. “He fell off the face of the Earth,” one neighbor said, noting that they’ve asked around, “but no one knew the answer.”
A spokesperson for ABC News said that Meeks “resigned very abruptly” and that he “hasn’t worked for us for months.”
“Mr. Meek is unaware of what allegations anonymous sources are making about his possession of classified documents,” Eugene Gorokhov, Meeks’ attorney, said in a statement. “If such documents exist, as claimed, this would be within the scope of his long career as an investigative journalist covering government wrongdoing. The allegations in your inquiry are troubling for a different reason: they appear to come from a source inside the government. It is highly inappropriate, and illegal, for individuals in the government to leak information about an ongoing investigation. We hope that the DOJ [Department of Justice] promptly investigates the source of this leak.”
Meeks’ book, titled “Operation Pineapple Express: The Incredible Story of a Group of Americans Who Undertook One Last Mission and Honored a Promise in Afghanistan” remains in limbo. His co-author, Lt. Col. Scott Mann, told Rolling Stone that he received an odd call from Meeks before his disappearance.
“He contacted me in the spring, and was really distraught, and told me that he had some serious personal issues going on and that he needed to withdraw from the project,” Mann said. “As a guy who’s a combat veteran who has seen that kind of strain — I don’t know what it was — I honored it. And he went on his way, and I continued on the project.”
According to the Rolling Stone article, justifying such drastic action against a journalist would require evidence leading the Justice Department to conclude that Meeks was either working for a hostile foreign power, a terrorist organization or involved in the exploitation of minors.

What instigated the FBI’s raid on his apartment, though we now know that the FBI claims they found confidential documents, which seems that they always claim to find those in order to use them as an excuse for their raids, but what actually gave them the reason to raid his home, what was the accusations that warranted such a raid? Did the FBI arrest him during or after the raid?
A home is not always a house, it is a personal abode, which could be an apartment or condominium, or a cabin in the woods, even a tent such as those that line the streets in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, which any of these Democrat controlled cities could be called a capitol of homelessness.

Having “classified information” on his laptop. Hmmmm…sounds familiar.
