New York’s attorney general is asking a judge to enforce subpoenas of Donald Trump’s children.
The breaking news is the latest development into Attorney General Letitia James’ civil tax fraud investigation of the Trump Organization. (RELATED: Jan. 6 Committee Probe Aimed at Trump Proves…What?)
As Mediaite reports:
The New York Times obtained a court filing saying that former President Donald Trump and his two children were served early in December. This comes after Trump moved to sue James last month, claiming her investigation into his company’s alleged financial fraud is a violation of his constitutional rights.

The Trump Organization is trying to block James’ investigators who are seeking a deposition from the former president and his children, and ABC News reports that Ivanka and Don Jr. “refuse to comply” with the subpoenas.
Eric Trump, who ran the Trump Organization with his brother while their father was president, was previously questioned for the investigation back in 2020.

“The legal filing that disclosed the subpoenas on Monday was signed by a judge who presided over an earlier court action brought by the attorney general’s office that forced the Trump Organization to turn over records and Eric Trump to submit to questioning,” the report says. “Monday’s filing set a schedule for Mr. Trump’s lawyers to move to quash the latest subpoenas, and for the attorney general’s office to respond to any such motion.”
Besides the tax fraud probe, James is working with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance (D) on his investigation into potential tax fraud by Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer.

The democrats will still be trying to pin something on Trump for the next decade. If they had something that was actually criminal they would have been shouting it from the roof tops . They sure know how to waste taxpayer dollars.
I expect that in the next few weeks the AG will subpoena Trump’s father’s records to examine the possibility that Trump cheated on his grades as a child. There is no private corner where ex-president Trump can hide-he did something wrong, somewhere along the line-the AG knows it, but just can’t get evidence of it but she intends to find it, if it’s the last thing she does. Isn’t it strange that this same inept lawyer has no interest in the Biden family (and, it’s a shame too-it would be so easy to find at least a dozen crimes committed by Old Slow Joe and another couple of dozen by his corrupt offspring)?
