“While there remains much critical work to be done to ensure that the Postal Service can be financially viable as we continue to serve the nation in our essential public service mission, I have decided it is time to start the process of identifying my successor and of preparing the Postal Service for this change,” DeJoy said in a statement.
He said it was important to him to find a timely and methodic way to bring in a new postmaster general who can carry on the work he started. He said he was confident that a “period of dedicated focus” for the change will position the Postal Service to be successful under a new leader.
“I am extremely proud of the 640,000 men and women of the United States Postal Service who live, work and serve in every American community,” DeJoy said. “Despite being victimized by a legislative and regulatory business model that produced almost two decades of devastation to their organization and workplaces, they have persevered and embraced the changes we are making in order to better serve their fellow citizens.”
DeJoy has led the agency since mid-2020 and said it was one of the greatest pleasures of his life to serve alongside them.

There is no longer a need for daily mail delivery. They should let half the crew go and go to an alternating cycle of two alternating routes. If they did three alternating routes I doubt most people would miss the ‘mail delivery’ because it’s nothing but junk.

Can you do an analysis on the 660,000 Postal Employees regarding the cost of salaries, medical, dental and other benefits along with the cost of their pensions! Please also include how much the Post Office loses every year. Would you do a similar analysis of AMTRAK.
Note: tried to enter my website, http://WWW.DASOISA.ORG, but it wouldn’t take.
Thank you,
Stephen
I wonder how proud he is about what some of his postal workers have done with our ballots, missing mail, and stolen items which are all connected to the post offices around the US. Seriously, this man should have been supporting the citizens of this great nation and making sure his postal workers followed the true law and that includes protecting our ballots and our votes by not allowing his workers to do so many lawless acts which should have put them in jail but somehow, they seem to get away with what they did. So, I don’t feel this man did his job well because he didn’t enforce proper handling of our mail in ballots and corruption within the post offices goes unchecked and no one is held accountable. Yes, there are those who steal your mail including checks, packages, etc. who work in Postal Services, and they are never held accountable. Seems they think they are above the law for some reason. I know 1st hand because my post office stole a package from me and then tried to cover it up, but I called them out on it, and I call the main office. Don’t think they did anything, they never got back to me and my mail was delivered to everyone in my neighborhood except to my box or home for a long time afterwards. This is their answer to what happened. I had the facts, and I knew what was done but crickets and backlash is all I got so I have no pity nor do I want him to stay in his position. My hope is someone comes in and runs the postal service much better and weeds out the crooks within.
I vote for Ramaswamy.
