Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar (D) has opened a criminal investigation into Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ decision to send approximately 50 asylum-seeking migrants from Venezuela, who volunteered to leave a migrant shelter in San Antonio, to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
According to Salazar, it’s unclear if any laws were broken. Nonetheless, the sheriff claimed that 48 migrants had been “lured under false pretenses” before being flown to Florida and then to Martha’s Vineyard.
Salazar said the investigation was in its early stages. At first, he declined to name suspects. But later he added: “Everybody on this call knows who those names are already.”
Last night, DeSantis appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” and excoriated liberals for not being outraged by migrant deaths near the U.S.-Mexico border, from drownings in the Rio Grande to the recent discovery of 53 dead migrants in and around an abandoned tractor-trailer in San Antonio.

Salazar said his office’s organized crime investigators would handle the investigation.
Immigration advocates and lawyers called for a criminal investigation into DeSantis’ effort to move the migrants under a $12 million program aimed at relocating “unauthorized aliens” to what his administration has described as “sanctuary” jurisdictions.
In a statement Monday, a spokesperson for DeSantis said that Florida had helped the migrants access “greener pastures” in a place with more resources after they’d been “abandoned” in Bexar County.
DeSantis and his administration have previously denied breaking any laws with the program, and at a news conference Friday, the governor said he would “spend every penny” he could on it.

Maybe Governor Abbott should begin a criminal investigation against this Democratic sheriff for harboring illegal aliens and thereby violating our immigration laws.

Martha Vinyard just doesn’t want immigrants in their town, nor does Delaware where the President is come. It’s okay for them to be a blue state and stand for welcoming immigrants at all other towns in the USA but not theirs. Are they saying, they are better than anywhere else that is overrun with immigrants? They are rich cities and they do not want trash in their towns, but it’s okay to send these people by the millions everywhere else. That is double standard. Sherif Salazar, while you are at it, please look into the thousands of Ghost Flight travelers shipped to the State of Pennsylvania. When I questioned my representative It was suggested I was heartless, and the only reason for stealthily salting the State was “for the childrens safety”…..to me, many of the supposed children coming across the Southern border looked like Regiment ready, healthy well dressed young men.
