Who’s next?
On Friday, a source close to President-elect Donald Trump said former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers is no longer under consideration to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the incoming administration.
Dan Scavino, who will serve as deputy chief of staff in the new White House, posted on social media Friday that a Rogers hire is “not happening.”
“Just spoke to President Trump regarding Mike Rogers going to the FBI. It’s not happening — In his own words, ‘I have never even given it a thought.’ Not happening,” Scavino said.

Rogers, the 2024 Republican Senate nominee in Michigan who lost his election last week by a razor-thin margin, was considered a leading candidate to be the next FBI director. Trump has repeatedly stated his intention to fire the current director, Christopher Wray.
A Republican source familiar told Fox News Digital that Rogers met with Trump last week at the president-elect’s Mar-a-Lago residence. He also met with Trump’s transition team to discuss potentially serving as FBI director, sources familiar said.
Trump transition spokesman Brian Hughes declined to comment on Scavino’s X post.
“For transition, we don’t speculate on selections and don’t get ahead of official announcements from President Trump,” he said.
Rogers told “FOX & Friends” earlier Friday that “the culture of the FBI on the seventh floor needs to be changed.”
Trump is also reportedly considering Kash Patel, who served in roles at the National Security Council and Defense Department during the first Trump administration, to serve as the next FBI director.

Mike Rogers, who almost literally flipped his toupee during a fracas with Matt Gaetz over the (eminently deserved) dumping of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker? He had to be held back from assualting Gaetz in the House chamber! On temperment alone I would think this would disqualify him from such an important post; but his politics and loyalties are also questionable — I am surprised he was on any Trump appointment list.
Comey and Wray were just water boys for the dimwit nitwits and did their bidding. Same for the unelected bureacrats. Time to clean them all out then investigate the bad actors, trial them and punish ALL of them. You lie and manipulate, fail to do your sworn duty, you will suffer the consequences.
Hire MAGA only for posts
We the people need Kash Patel to clean out and sanitize FBI
Trump will seek the cooperation of red state governors to use their national guard to assist federal and state officers to round up first the criminal illegal aliens and then all the other illegals who is in my country illegally. For the blue state governors and cities that do not cooperate, Trump will flood their state and/or city with thousands of federal agents all of which have been designated to enforce immigration laws. That, my friends, is the plan, and it will work.
It looks like Bidens 87,000 IRS agents are headed for a new job posting as Immigration Enforcers instead. I wonder how many will actually do this work?
