Professional golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash Friday in Jupiter Island, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that Woods was arrested following the accident and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and property damage, according to multiple reports. Officials said he did not suffer any injuries. The crash occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the area where Woods resides, and images from the scene showed a vehicle overturned on its side. The incident remains under investigation.
In the aftermath of the crash, reports citing unnamed sources have suggested Woods has been dealing with emotional strain tied to his ongoing health challenges. According to People, individuals close to him said he has been “frustrated and depressed” about his physical condition following multiple injuries and surgeries. Woods, 50, has been working toward a return to professional golf after being sidelined since 2024. He recently competed in the finals of the TGL, a technology-focused golf league, marking his first competitive appearance in over a year. His return follows a series of medical setbacks. In March 2025, Woods suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and later underwent lumbar disk replacement surgery in October. These procedures came after years of recovery from earlier injuries, including those sustained in a serious 2021 crash in Southern California. That incident left him with severe leg injuries requiring multiple surgeries, including the insertion of a rod in his tibia and hardware in his ankle and foot.
Off the course, Woods has also drawn attention for his personal life. Multiple reports indicate he dated Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.. Their relationship reportedly began around late 2024 and developed gradually from a friendship into a romantic involvement.
