Following last week's debate, questions have been raised about Kamala Harris's close relationship with a Disney executive, as it's a parent company of ABC.
Breitbart News reports:
A top Walt Disney Company executive is refusing to answer if her close friendship with Kamala Harris affected last week's ABC News presidential debate during which moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis showed clear and frequent bias in favor of Harris.
Dana Walden, who oversees ABC News and would have been in a position to dictate how the debate was run, was on the red carpet at Sunday's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles when she was asked by Variety if she had anything to say about the controversy, which the outlet disingenuously framed as a “far-right” talking point.
She responded, “I have the highest regard for everyone at ABC News. It's the most professional organization, the most top-notch journalists. It doesn't really dignify much of a response.”
“Professional” and “top notch journalism” aren't words that the average viewer would use to describe the moderators' behavior in the last debate, as long-time Democrats have come out to criticize and denounce the network for taking a side and participating in the discussion in a way that many believe inappropriately interfered with the conversation, and “rigged” it in favor of Harris.
Breitbart News continues:
Dana Walden serves as co-chairman of Disney Entertainment where she oversees numerous TV divisions, including ABC News and ABC Entertainment. Over the years, she has donated numerous times to Kamala Harris' various political campaigns, including her 2020 presidential bid that fizzled out early in the primaries, according to a recent New York Times report.
Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly drew attention to the decades long friendship in her first podcast episode after the debate.
She stated, “I'm ashamed of those moderators at ABC News. They did exactly what their bosses wanted them to do. The person who runs ABC News is a close personal friend of Kamala Harris, that is responsible for Kamala Harris and her husband meeting. They did Dana Walden's bidding tonight. It was three against one on that debate stage.”
The Daily Caller reports:
Kelly reminded her viewers that Harris has a close relationship with Disney executive Dana Walden, whom Harris has known since 1994, according to The New York Times. Walden, whose portfolio includes ABC, donated to Harris's various political campaigns since she ran for San Francisco district attorney in 2003. Walden reportedly set Harris up with Doug Emhoff, who has known the Disney executive's husband Matt Walden since the 1980s.
Additionally, Walden hosted multiple Harris fundraisers at her Los Angeles home. Last year alone, she reportedly donated $20,000 in support of Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.
