Former NBC marketing executive John D. Miller believes that his work on Trump’s hit television show The Apprentice established him as a successful entrepreneur to the American electorate on false premises, and gave his claims of leadership and financial savvy unwarranted credibility, and played a significant role in his successful presidential run as well as the current state of American politics.
Breitbart News reports:
In a bizarre act of self-flagellation, a former high-ranking executive at NBC has issued a lengthy apology for his work on the reality competition series The Apprentice, claiming the hit show was instrumental in launching the political career of former President Donald Trump.
Miller wrote in the op-ed, “Trump may have been the perfect choice to be the boss of this show, because more successful CEOs were too busy to get involved in reality TV and didn’t want to hire random game show winners onto their executive teams. Trump had no such concerns. He had plenty of time for filming, he loved the attention and it painted a positive picture of him that wasn’t true.”
It remains unclear whether Miller has the same opinion of Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban, who has been a vocal supporter of the Harris campaign and critic of the former president.
“While we were successful in marketing The Apprentice, we also did irreparable harm by creating the false image of Trump as a successful leader. I deeply regret that. And I regret that it has taken me so long to go public.”
While Trump’s success may have been embellished for the show, the United States enjoyed an economic turnaround under the Trump administration that many economic experts believed was impossible, increasing the GDP by twice as much as what was projected as the best case scenario.
Miller, who served as head of marketing for NBC and NBCUniversal, led the team that marketed The Apprentice and helped make it a smash hit that would run for multiple seasons. The show reinvigorated the Trump brand and made Trump himself a household presence to tens of millions of fans.
He ended his op-ed with an endorsement of the sitting vice president, writing, “I spent 50 years successfully promoting television magic, making mountains out of molehills every day. But I say now to my fellow Americans, without any promotional exaggeration: If you believe that Trump will be better for you or better for the country, that is an illusion, much like The Apprentice was. Even if you are a born-and-bred Republican, as I was, I strongly urge you to vote for Kamala Harris. The country will be better off and so will you.”
Despite government reports and media outlets insisting that the Biden-Harris administration has improved the United States, claiming crime is down with faulty data, blaming the border crisis on Trump’s efforts to kill a bill while ignoring the years of executive orders and unprecedented policy moves that made it easier than ever for illegal immigrants to enter and remain in the United States, and that the economy is in great shape as Americans struggle with inflationary costs, the American people can’t seem to reconcile these warnings with their experiences. Almost 4/5 of voters polled said they believe the country is heading in the wrong direction under the current administration.

Wow. Another mealy-mouthed, elitist idiot God spare us.
One more loser stabbing his employer in the back. Why doesn’t John Miller donate his salary from those profitable years to charity?
What a moron for saying this slander now. Shame
Interesting timing. Why don’t you donate your ridiculous salary during those lucrative years if you’re remorseful? This is another disingenuous attempt to slander President Trump.
Didn’t like that, huh? Ok. Here goes. He’s just another simpering, leftist, lying fool.
Like I really care about TV as I quit watching the lying garbage a couple of years ago and do not miss it one bit. If it wasn’t for my wife and kids I would not even own a TV or have one in my house.
I can see why Miller is a “former'” executive. I’m surprised he got out of the mail room. What an oaf. Does he really believe our next President is his fault. If so, best thing he ever did.
I guess, no I know, that the Millers and the Cubans live in an ivy covered world, unlike most of us who feel the increase in food, heating our homes and worrying about crime. People who don’t go out to dinner, go on vacation, or buy their pets treats without counting to see if we can afford it. Now that I think about it, the reason both these men look at the Kamala and Tim as their “Preferred” leaders of America, a thought that makes me cringe, while waiting for one of the duo to say “Here’s Kammy” or “Here’s Timmy” when they walk on stage. Mr. Miller and Mr. Cuban, it isn’t show business or owning a sports team, for most of us, it’s reality.
I read the entire op-ed and this article really didn’t leave out much. If John Miller’s purpose was to convince people not to vote for Trump, he failed miserably.
His article comes off as a leftist Democrat who didn’t mind working with Trump, even promoting him, while Trump was making him lots of money, but now wants to stab him in the back with Democrats talking points—many of which are verifiably false.
This Executive, and I don’t know a thing about him, is probably a “silver Spoon” prick, put there in his position either by his Daddy or a rich friend.
And I doubt the guy would recognize a self-made man or woman if he crashed his car (EXCUSE ME… LIMO) into one!
It’s people like THAT who are now running this Country (into the GROUND), and we JUST CAN”T GET RID OF THEM !! They are ALWAYS just under the surface, screwing up everything they TOUCH! Just look a the RAG that NBC (under HIS leadership !!!) has turned INTO!
I have taken that “alphabet network” channel completely OFF my T.V. Remote programming, and it can never even SHOW UP!
I thought ABC was the worst – maybe still IS, but NBC is it’s TWIN SISTER!
