Fox News Host Fiercely Defends Nikki Haley As Trump Attacks Ramp Up

-

host Steve Doocy is remaining firmly on Nikki Haley‘s side as the Republican primary field continues to shrink.

Hours after Gov. Ron DeSantis announced his decision to end his presidential campaign, Doocy's Monday morning segment came out swinging against current frontrunner former president . (RELATED: DeSantis Drops Out, Will Endorse Trump)

According to Mediaite, the tone of the segment was convivial and fun, evidenced by a cheery music bed, an interview at a UNH hockey game, and Doocy asking Haley about the barrage of insults SHE has received from Trump, at one point saying, “I think you are getting to him because the attacks are nonstop now.” No lie was detected.

The segment which was more reminiscent of a campaign promotion featured shots of Haley bonding with New Hampshire's Governor Chris Sununu. However, Doocy brought out the big guns when Judge Judy made a cameo on Fox News.

“He should not be president,” she told Doocy. “We don't want a barnyard bully as president. We want to listen to somebody who has got the facts that the world respects.”

Following the segment, Doocy shifted his focus to Trump's foreign policy decisions, especially his friendly relationships with dictators.

Doocy described the spot as focusing on how “Donald Trump kisses up to dictators and wrote love letters to Kim Jong,” adding, “From what I've heard, it's a very powerful commercial.”

“But a lot of people would say they liked how Donald Trump would visit with  and Kim Jong Un, even though he agrees with the policies,” Ainsley Earhardt dutifully defended Trump. “To have a relationship might be easier when you negotiate.”
