Despite operating under what many viewers recognized as the same 3 on 1 dynamic that Donald Trump did in his first debate with Kamala Harris, JD Vance held his ground, calling moderators out when they broke their own rules, and winning the debate by a landslide according to public opinion.

During the debate, CBS moderator Margaret Brennan questioned the candidates on illegal immigration, and Vance expressed concern about migrants’ impact on Americans, citing the up to 20,000 Haitian migrants that have flooded into Springfield, Ohio, over the past three years. After Walz rebutted, Brennan tried to move on, adding that the Haitian migrants had “legal status,” leading Vance to interrupt by challenging the network’s fact-checking rule, noting the migrants entered the country via asylum applications.
At the close of Vance’s statement, Brennan added, “Just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio, does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status, temporary protected status.”
This was reminiscent of the ABC debate, where moderator Linsey Davis interjected, “There is no state where it is legal in this country to kill a child after it is born.”
When he tried to interject, she tried to shut him down, saying, “Senator, we have so much to get to,” and her co-moderator trying to pivot to the economy.
But didn’t let it slide.
He noted that pointing to these migrants’ so-called “legal status” was dishonest and disingenuous, as they’d enter the country illegally, and the government would go on to grant them legal status — something that many immigration experts argue against and describe as incentivizing illegal immigration.
“But Margaret, the rules were that you guys weren‘t going to fact-check, and since you‘re fact-checking me, I think it‘s important to say what‘s actually going on. So there‘s an application called the CBP One app — where you can go on as an illegal migrant, apply for asylum or apply for parole and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris open border wand. That is not a person coming in applying for a green card and waiting for 10 years — ”
The moderators tried to cut him off again, but he persisted, “that is the facilitation of illegal immigration, Margaret, by our own leadership, and Kamala Harris opened up that pathway.”
Walz chimed in, “those have been on the books since 1990.”
JD Vance began to rebut him before his mic was cut.
Brennan retorted, “thank you for explaining the legal process,” dismissing and undercutting his statement, and interjecting her own bias and opinion.

In October 2020, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the creation of the CBP One app, with the Biden administration expanding its use in January 2023, according to the American Immigration Council. The app allows migrants to schedule appointments “to obtain exemptions at ports of entry” and enables Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans to submit “biometric information” to CBP to “apply for travel authorization and obtain parole,” the council reported.
The news media is biased and willing to be obvious in their “fact checking” responses. It is unfair, disingenuous, and actually expected by those of us who actually know. So, if you know, you know. The MSM do what they are told to do and say what they are told to say. Some of the more free wheeling mouths are allowed to embellish and exaggerate as long as it supports the liberal, lying narratives sponsored by their puppet masters. Actually, they are pretty stupid thinking that no one notices.
If the moderators of these debates are going to question the response of a debater they’d better get their facts right; their opinion doesn’t count as a fact check. They hold a lot of power in the debates and should be unbiased.

I admit; Every topic can be political. I am specifically looking for what’s happening with the Nutrition as medicine initiative in the Republican platform. I am a recent graduate with a BS in Nutritional Sciences and teach a nutrition education program to the public.
Brennan and CBS are pathetic. They don’t even try to hide their partisan bias. How in hell does an incompetent dumbass like her get selected to moderate a debate. Even against three radical leftists Vance shined. It is much easier when truth and honesty are on his side. Brennan and CBS wouldn’t know because they have never been on the side of truth or honesty.
Wow, I missed that part, it must have happened while I was moving from my computer to the TV. Anyway, all and all I thought the “debate” was more controlled and “fair” than Trump vs Harris. These gentlemen actually seemed to keep on topic with few diversions. The conversation between Trump and Harris was more of a “conversation” than a “debate.” Even my husband who didn’t think Vance was a good choice, admitted that if the election were held today between these two men, Vance would get his vote!
We need a different way to select moderaters for our debates! When they are obviously biased, it invalidates credibility.
Last night’s debate was blatant proof of bias. How about one moderater from Fox News and one from NBC? They have might
come up with the questions that will fact check each other to get neutral questions.
Is anyone really surprised that the individuals that were so-called, “moderating” were deeply involved personally and otherwise inserting a bias slant to a good portion of the debate??!! The so-called “moderators” attempted to cover their leftist bias and would have succeeded in accomplishing the same, had it not been for the wherewithal of JD Vance. His being able to Call-Out the “moderators” for their duplicity and pressing their thumbs on the true scale of any fairness. The lack of any ethics in media, intolerable lack of transparency along with carrying their own quiver of poison arrows, to be shot whenever the need to back “Tampon Tim”. His Leftist limp wrist approach to any circumstance, along with his known and highly questionable links to China and the “CCP” (Communist Chinese Party). Someone should really educate Walz about the “trade deficit” with China and how the entire history of said deficit is not because of President Trump???? The trade deficit with China has excited for more than 70 years. President Trump was only in office for 4 of those years, however, President Trump was the the first of many Presidents, Democrat or Republican, made history by calling out and actually implementing tariffs against China.
