It's not even a question.
Former Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger (R), a strong critic of Donald Trump, recently stated that he would support President Joe Biden over Trump “in a heartbeat.”
Mediaite reported on Kinzinger's response to a question about his potential support for Biden after his preferred Republican candidate, Chris Christie, withdrew from the race on Thursday night.
“It is literally a decision at that moment between ‘do you believe in a functioning democracy? Or do you not?' And I think that's the only thing on the ballot,” he told CNN's Kaitlan Collins.
Kinzinger conceded that a Trump-Biden rematch in 2024 is highly probable.
Kinzinger has long accused Trump of showing a clear and complete disregard for the Constitution. Nonetheless, he informed Collins that he wouldn't actively campaign for Democrats and remains hopeful that Nikki Haley will perform better than the former president in New Hampshire.
“I hope Nikki wins New Hampshire. I hope that leads to some momentum, anything to beat Donald Trump,” he concluded.
